Majlis Perhimpunan Bulanan Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) bagi bulan Jun 2026 yang membawakan tema Hari Gawai dan Kaamatan telah berlangsung dengan jayanya di Dewan Podium B, Menara KBS.
Majlis pada bulan ini telah disempurnakan oleh YBhg. Dato' Rahimi bin Ismail, Ketua Setiausaha KBS serta dianjurkan secara bersama oleh Jabatan Belia dan Sukan Negara (JBSN), IMPACT Integrated, dan Institut Sukan Negara (ISN). Tahniah diucapkan kepada penganjur! 👏

🧠 Unbreakable Mind: Building Mental Toughness in Sport
The National Sports Institute of Malaysia (ISN), in collaboration with Monash University Malaysia, successfully organised the “Unbreakable Mind: Building Mental Toughness in Sport” workshop, bringing together coaches, elite athletes, and sports psychology practitioners to strengthen the mental dimension of high-performance sport.
As part of the Champion’s Mindset series, which has been implemented over the past year to enhance the psychological foundations of elite athletes, the workshop provided participants with evidence-based approaches to developing mental resilience, managing pressure, sharpening focus, and applying psychological strategies to meet the demands of competition at the highest level.
The programme commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Vellapandian Ponnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Institute (ISN), who expressed his hope that initiatives such as this would inspire ISN to continue diversifying its sports psychology interventions and support systems in strengthening athletes’ holistic preparation, in line with the growing demands of modern high-performance sport.
ISN extends its sincere appreciation to the Monash University Malaysia team, particularly Dr. Sara Subhan, Dr. Yap Wai Meng, and Dr. Edison Lee, for sharing their expertise and insights. Appreciation is also extended to ISN’s sports psychology officers, coaches, and athletes for their commitment and active participation throughout the programme.

HIMALAYA SPORTS - ISN’S CORPORATE STRATEGIC PARTNER
The National Sports Institute of Malaysia (ISN) marked a significant milestone today with the official launch of Himalaya Sports as ISN’s Corporate Strategic Partner in a ceremony officiated by YB Mordi Bimol, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, at ISN, Bukit Jalil.
This strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the nation’s sporting ecosystem through support for athletes, sports science research, and high-performance initiatives aimed at enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness on the international stage.
The ceremony featured a symbolic presentation of the ISN x Himalaya Sports Sports Jacket, signifying the formal collaboration between both parties. Guests also had the opportunity to attend insightful knowledge-sharing sessions, including “Fuelling Excellence: The Power of Hydration & Trace Minerals” and “Fuelling Station: Game-Day Support Showcase,” highlighting the vital role of nutrition and hydration in athletic performance.

🤝 Strengthening Strategic Partnerships for National Sports Development
The National Sports Institute of Malaysia (NSI) was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from the delegation of the Ministry of Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy Sabah, led by YB Datuk Haji Nizam Bin DSP Abu Bakar Titingan, Minister of Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy Sabah.
The visit served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration on high-performance sports development, particularly in the areas of sports science, sports medicine, sports technology, coaching and athlete development.
During the visit, the delegation toured several of NSI’s key facilities, including the National Sports Medicine Centre (NSMC), Biomechanics Laboratory, Environmental & Altitude Chamber, High Performance Recovery Centre, and other world-class facilities that support athlete performance, recovery and competition readiness.
Welcoming the delegation, NSI Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Vellapandian Ponnusamy, highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration in strengthening Malaysia’s sporting ecosystem.
"NSI believes that developing world-class athletes requires the combination of talent, systems and science. Through strategic partnerships with state governments, including Sabah, we can strengthen the national sports ecosystem and nurture more athletes capable of competing successfully on the international stage."
NSI looks forward to expanding future collaborations with the Government of Sabah and the Sabah State Sports Council in athlete development, sports science education, technical expertise sharing, research initiatives and coach development programmes for the advancement of Malaysian sports.
