Pumpkin Patch Child Care Centre Kuching

In due of the Gawai holiday, we introduced our children to Sarawak culture. It is our favourite celebration as it signifies unity, harmony, and the beautiful Sarawak spirit!

Special thanks to Dr. Chong Pek Lin for kindly lending us the Kenyah props. Dr. Chong has done extensive research in Kenyah music, and we are really grateful that she continues to share her knowledge and inspire the younger generation. 🫶🏻

In conjunction with our Weather Theme this May, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Jabatan Meteorology Malaysia at the airport. ⛅️🌤️🌥️🌪️⛈️🌧️🌬️☂️🌡️☁️💧

We were truly humbled by the warm welcome and kindness shown by everyone from Jabatan Meteorologi Kuching.

A big thank you as well to all parents for your support in dropping off your children and for continuously supporting their learning journey.

It was an amazing experience for the children to explore how temperature is measured, learn about wind direction, see the rain gauge, and discover the solarimeter used to measure UV levels. We even got to watch aeroplanes stopping by at the airport! ✈️☀️🌧️

Everyone’s presence was so valuable to our children — teachers, children, parents, and the wonderful team from Meteorology Kuching. Each of you made a meaningful impact on this learning experience, and we are really humbled by your expertise, dedication, and presence.

We are so overwhelmed with love. Thanks a lot to all parents for your effort. 🥹Though we are always messy, sweaty and stinky 🙈, thank you for tolerating us and, despite that, seeing us and appreciating us. Happy Teachers’ Day, and we honor our job! 🫶🏻

We explored Nagomi Art and created our very own horse for the Year of the Horse. By blending colours with our hands instead of tools, our pumpkins experienced art not just visually, but emotionally, feeling each movement and expressing from the heart. 🩷🫶🏻
