to our March Community Art Journal Jam 💛
That afternoon felt especially intimate. Small circle, slower pace, lots of quiet cutting, pasting, and in-between conversations.
We even had a little oracle reading moment — which somehow made everything feel even more aligned and reflective. Thank you for holding the space so gently as always.
These sessions have slowly become something we look forward to each month. Not just for the journaling — but for the pause. The reset. The people.
And we’re excited for the next one.

Theme: DIY Ephemera & Embossing Play ✂️✨
Shia Lynn will be bringing over a super cool machine for us to experiment with die cuts and embossing (yes, we’re all lowkey excited). We’ve been gathering fun materials, tools, and creative goodies to share.
Moving forward, we’ll also be sharing each month’s theme ahead of time — so you can decide which sessions resonate most with you ✨
If this one is calling you, we’d love to see you there.

Okay gotta mention about this session because it felt extra wholesome.
An old friend came by the studio to celebrate her niece’s birthday here, and she brought her sister-in-law along too. Just the three of them spending the afternoon painting together.
The little one went straight for Zootopia (confident queen energy).
Her mum did a textured beach piece — very chill vibes.
And my friend painted a view from her home in Italy… and suddenly we were all mentally on holiday.
It was such a simple afternoon. No big setup. No grand celebration. Just three people sitting side by side, quietly creating, talking here and there, and finishing their own pieces.
I don’t think I say this enough, but when someone chooses the studio as a birthday gift option, especially someone who’s known me for years… it really hits different.
Thank you for the love and support, and for acknowledging this space I created. Love you! 🥹💛

So… months ago we had a blackout in the middle of an art session.
Everyone just paused mid-brush stroke like 🧍♀️🎨
Not exactly the “fully equipped studio experience” we promised.
But here’s the plot twist.
A café a few doors down was still operating as usual, annnndddddd they had cats.
So what started as a minor panic turned into an unexpected field trip.
No easels or proper setup. Our team just moved whichever art supplies we could make do with, and moved the entire squad over.
We pretty much just utilized whichever table corner, random surface, and patch of light we could find.
Everyone was super understanding, they adapted, laughed, snuggled with the cats at the studio and most importantly, finished their pieces.
It reminded us that sometimes the experience isn’t about perfect conditions — it’s about the people in the room.
We’re incredibly grateful to that café (even though they’ve since closed down 🥲) and to every participant who handled the situation with so much grace.
If you’re looking to join a session — hopefully with electricity fully functioning 😅 — or even host a private session at your own venue, we’d love to create something with you.

The past few months have been… slower.
You can feel it everywhere. Conversations are quieter. Bookings take longer. And yes, when the news about war started circulating, you could feel the tightness in people’s pockets too.
We’ve heard of studios closing, businesses scaling back, some don't even know when's their customers coming back.
For now, we’re not making any big financial leaps.
No risky expansions or bold investments. Just steady steps.
Uncertainty is VERY VERY uncomfortable.
But we’ve learned not to make decisions out of fear.
In the middle of all this, we still have moments like this —
a regular student painting three canvases at the same time, completely unfazed by the outside world.
Sometimes that’s the reminder we need.
Keep creating, showing up, do the work quietly.
We don’t know what the coming months will look like.
But we’re hopeful things will pick up after Raya.
Until then, we stay grounded and we keep the paint flowing.

🧧🎨 Festive season = timetable Tetris mode
With all the public holidays, school events, balik kampung plans and last-minute swaps… we’ve basically been rearranging our class schedule like a giant puzzle the past few weeks 😅
Trying to keep up? Yes.
Managing? Also yes.
Grateful? Always.
Here’s a series of finished works from our kids during this festive stretch. Despite all the changes, they showed up, focused, and completed their pieces like champs.
Some rushed in straight from family dinners.
Some came back slightly sugar-charged.
Some needed a little extra patience.
But every canvas got done.
That’s something we’re proud of — not just the art, but the commitment.
Thank you to the parents who adjusted timings with us, trusted the process, and worked around the festive chaos together.
If you’re looking to enroll your child in a consistent, process-based art class (even during crazy festive seasons 😌), 2026 intake is ongoing.
