8 PRATCAL WAYS TO DISCIPLINE A STUDENT WITHOUT CANE OR ABUSIVE WORDS
Disciplining students effectively while maintaining a positive and respectful environment is crucial. Instead of resorting to physical punishment or abusive language, consider these approaches:
🍡Establish Clear Expectations: Make sure students are aware of classroom rules and expectations from the beginning. Discuss behavior standards and the consequences of not meeting them.
🍡Private Conversation: Address the issue privately to avoid embarrassment. Talk to the student calmly, expressing concern about their behavior and its impact on the class.
🍡Active Listening: Allow the student to share their perspective. Sometimes, misbehavior may be a result of personal challenges or misunderstandings.
🍡Use "I" Statements: Express your feelings and observations using "I" statements. For example, "I noticed that when you interrupt, it disrupts the class. Let's discuss how we can improve this."
🍡Positive Reinforcement: Reinforce positive behavior with praise and encouragement. Recognize and appreciate students when they exhibit respectful behavior.
🍡Logical Consequences: Connect consequences logically to the misbehavior. Help students understand the correlation between actions and consequences.
🍡Classroom Discussions: Engage the whole class in discussions about respect and behavior expectations. Encourage students to share their thoughts on maintaining a positive learning environment.
🍡Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the student to find solutions. Ask questions like, "How can we avoid this situation in the future?" This empowers students to take responsibility for their actions.
When you as a bonified teacher complain about low pay, I will understand but can't help but just laughing out loud ( lol) 🤣
Ok reason am.
We're all in the world seeing how Teaching and learning has gone beyond classroom.
And how social media is gradually taking over, yet we're just looking.
Sadly enough many teachers has refused to evolve and improve in all totality.
Imagine showcasing your Teaching skills everyday online.
Imagine showing about 20+ million facebook people how they can do one or two things and get results daily.
Let's say you are a computer teacher.
Imagine coming up with a simple online guide or Class for junior class on how to use computer in to do xyz daily, then as time goes on you peg it at 1k
Will parents buy or not so long there's value?
With good marketing, will you make money or not?
From there will other parents hire your services or not ?
What about applying in Edtech companies, where they will provide students while you teach Online alongside your physical job ?
You see ?
It's not about complaining but having the right information and doing it till it click, because e no easy ooo.
Your experience is enough to make more money just be innovative and start from your capacity while you grow.
This is just 1 out of 1k things you can do with your skill as a teacher.
All the best.

TEACHERS REGISTRATION COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (TRCN) REVERT TO PREVIOUS FEES.
The Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (Prof. Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye) has announced a significant decision to revert the recently increased fees for teacher certification and licensing, reinstating the previous rates until January 2024. This move aims to alleviate financial burdens on educators seeking certification, reflecting a commitment to supporting the teaching community. The decision acknowledges the importance of accessible and affordable certification processes for teachers, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of education standards in Nigeria. This reversal underscores the council's responsiveness to the concerns of educators and their role in shaping the nation's educational landscape. As of now, educators can continue their certification journey without the financial strain imposed by the initial fee hike, fostering a more conducive environment for professional development in the teaching sector.
