This is exactly what I told him during one of the Study Abroad Clarity Sessions I held over the weekend…
If you know anyone who has undergone a clarity session with me, they’ll tell you one thing:
I do not hold back on my course and country recommendations.
Because the goal is not just to “travel.”
The goal is to position you properly for long-term success through study abroad.
Over the weekend, I had a clarity session with Mr. A (not real name), who is looking for affordable tuition schools in Europe for his son.
During the session, he mentioned his son’s course of interest…
And immediately, I knew this was where expertise matters.
This is exactly why people pay ₦25,000 to book a session with me.
Because many people don’t realize this:
If you’re planning to study an undergraduate degree abroad, especially as an international student, it is often wiser to start with a GENERAL course field instead of jumping straight into a highly specialized degree.
For example:
❌ Data Science
✅ Computer Science
❌ Cybersecurity
✅ Information Technology or Computer Science
❌ Artificial Intelligence
✅ Software Engineering or Computer Science
❌ Biomedical Engineering
✅ Engineering Science
❌ FinTech
✅ Finance or Economics
❌ Digital Marketing Analytics
✅ Business Administration or Marketing
❌ Public Health Nutrition
✅ Nutrition or Health Science
❌ Neuroscience
✅ Biological Science
❌ Sports Rehabilitation
✅ Physiotherapy or Health Science
❌ Clinical Embryology
✅ Biomedical Science
❌ Genetic Counseling
✅ Biological Science or Genetics
❌ Health Informatics
✅ Information Technology or Health Science
❌ Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies
✅ Health Science
❌ Cardiovascular Technology
✅ Medical Laboratory Science or Health Science
❌ Cosmetic Science
✅ Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science
❌ Speech Pathology
✅ Linguistics or Health Science
❌ Midwifery specialization route
✅ Nursing
Why?
Because broader undergraduate courses:
- Give you wider career flexibility
- Make course understanding easier at foundational level
- Increase opportunities for specialization later during Masters
- Often position students better academically and professionally
Many people are rushing into specialized courses because they sound trendy…
Without understanding the academic structure behind them.
This is why proper guidance matters.
Study abroad is not just about choosing any course or country.
It’s about choosing what strategically fits the student.
I am an international student recruiter and study abroad consultant in partnership with 700+ schools across 29 countries.
And I’m available to help you achieve your legit relocation through study abroad.

You should be worried......
If your study abroad agent does everything for you without involving you
Let me explain.
One thing I’ve noticed in the study abroad space is that many people want to completely hand over their relocation process to an agent and disappear until “visa is out.”
That mindset is dangerous.
I’ve had prospective clients get upset simply because I told them they would be actively involved throughout the process.
Maybe they expected me to magically handle everything and hand over an approved visa at the end.
No.
That’s not how a proper study abroad process should work.
If you hire me as your study abroad consultant, you MUST be involved.
Why?
Because your application is YOUR life, YOUR information, and YOUR future.
I do not fabricate information.
I make sure every detail submitted in your admission and visa applications reflects your real situation accurately.
And something recently happened that reminded me why this matters so much.
A well-known travel agent contacted me for help after one of his client’s visas got rejected.
I agreed to assist with the reapplication.
While working on the case, I requested a particular information.
Instead of connecting me directly with the client, the agent forwarded a PDF containing the client’s details.
I ignored the PDF and insisted on hearing directly from the client.
To my surprise…
The information the client personally provided was completely different from what the agent had earlier sent to me.
And immediately, one question came to my mind:
Where exactly did the earlier information come from?
This is why you should never be disconnected from your own study abroad process.
Some people are unknowingly submitting applications containing errors, assumptions, or altered details they never even verified themselves.
And when problems arise later, the consequences fall on the applicant… not the agent.
A genuine study abroad process should involve transparency, clarity, and active participation.
Not secrecy.
Not guesswork.
Not “leave everything for me.”
What’s your own take on this?
How do you think a proper Japa consultant should work with clients?

If you don't want to make the same mistake...then you need to read this..
Overtime, we've realised that the biggest mistake most people make in their study abroad journey is chasing “popular countries” instead of suitable countries.
Everybody wants:
UK
Canada
USA
But very few people ask:
“Which country actually fits my profile, budget, and long-term goals?”
Listen...
Sometimes your best route is the country nobody is talking about.
But many people would rather follow hype than strategy.
If we may ask:
Would you rather choose a popular country or suitable country for your study abroad?

This is what no one has ever told you about vis@
approval…
You plan to study abroad, yet you don’t realize there are TWO bridges you must cross.
And crossing the first bridge only gives you access to attempt the second.
The first bridge is SCHOOL ADMISSION.
The second bridge is VISA APPROVAL.
Now here’s the part many people fail to understand:
Successfully crossing the first bridge does NOT guarantee you’ll cross the second.
Getting admission is not the same thing as getting a visa.
And this is where many people get shocked.
Because they assume:
“I got admission, so visa is sure.”
No.
Visa officers are looking beyond your admission letter.
They want to see if your entire story makes sense.
Yes, you may meet the requirements on paper…
But are your proofs convincing enough?
- Is your financial proof believable?
- Does your study plan make sense?
- Are your documents properly structured?
- Can you defend your intentions clearly?
This is why two people can apply with similar documents…
Yet one gets approved and the other gets rejected.
Study abroad is not just about meeting requirements.
It’s about proper positioning.
I’ll be breaking this down properly in my FREE webinar.
Update on how to join will be dropped in the comment section.

Recently I had a clarity session with someone.
One of the first things he said during the session was:
“My CGPA is low… I don’t think I have a chance.”
That belief alone had already discouraged him.
He had interest.
He had the intention to study abroad.
But in his mind, the door was already closed.
This is where many people get it wrong.
They assume one factor defines everything.
But the truth is:
A low CGPA is not the end.
It just means you need the right strategy.
In his case, he had not explored:
Alternative schools
Flexible entry options
How to properly position his profile
So he was stuck, not because it was impossible,
but because he didn’t know what was possible.
Within a few minutes into the study abroad clarity session, it became clear:
The issue wasn’t his CGPA.
It was the lack of a clear approach.
There are always pathways.
But you need to know where to look and how to position yourself.
And that’s exactly what my full Study Abroad Clarity Session is about.
I and my team at 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐡𝐨𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 would look at your background and map out a realistic path forward.
If you’ve been holding back because of your CGPA,
don’t assume it’s over.
You just need the right plan to Japa Smart .
Send or comment READY and let’s figure it out properly.

Some of you think studying abroad is just about getting admission… that’s where you’re getting it wrong.
Let’s be clear.
There are only 3 things that determine whether your study abroad journey will work or fail:
Your course choice
Your country strategy
Your financial positioning
Miss one… and everything starts to fall apart.
Pick the wrong course?
You struggle with admission or visa.
Choose the wrong country?
You face limitations, high costs, or poor opportunities.
Ignore your financial reality?
You get admission… and abandon it halfway.
This is not theory.
This is what I see happen over and over again as a study abroad consultant.
People focus on one part… and ignore the rest.
And that’s why they get stuck.
Study abroad is not about luck.
It’s about getting these three things right from the beginning.
That’s exactly what Japa Smart is built to help you do.
If you’re ready to approach your study abroad journey with structure instead of guesswork:

You are not ready to study abroad… you just want to escape.
Yes, read that again.
Your desire to leave your current situation is valid.
But confusing escape with a proper study abroad plan is where the problem starts.
Because study abroad is not a shortcut.
It requires:
- Clear direction
- Proper planning
- Financial understanding
- The right academic path
But many people don’t think about all these.
They just want to leave.
So they jump on:
- Any country
- Any course
- Any “opportunity”
And that’s how mistakes happen.
That’s how people get stuck halfway.
That’s how money gets wasted.
If your goal is just to escape, you’ll take anything.
But if your goal is to build a better future, you’ll be intentional.
That’s the difference.
And that’s what Japa Smart is about.
It's created to help you approach your study abroad journey with structure, not desperation.

And until you fix it, your Japa plan won’t move — no matter how much you research.
You’ve done the “right” things.
You’ve watched videos.
Read blog posts.
Joined groups.
Asked questions.
But somehow… you’re still stuck.
Same thoughts.
Same confusion.
Same “I’ll figure it out soon.”
Here’s the truth most people won’t tell you:
Research is not progress.
You don’t have an information problem.
You have a direction problem.
Because without direction:
You don’t know the right country for YOU.
You don’t know the right schools to apply to.
You don’t know what step comes first… or next.
So you keep going in circles.
And that’s why months pass…
with nothing to show for it.
This is exactly why I created Japa Smart.
Not to give you more information —
but to give you clarity and structure.
A step-by-step path tailored to you,
so you stop guessing
and finally start moving.
If you’re tired of being stuck,
then it’s time to fix what’s really holding you back.

5 things you need to do before you Japa… the 6th one will shock you.
If you’re serious about your study abroad journey, don’t skip these:
1. Get clarity on your goal
Are you going for study, work, or relocation long-term?
Confusion here will affect every other decision.
2. Choose the right country for YOU
Not what is trending.
Not what your friend chose.
What actually fits your profile, budget, and future plan.
3. Select the right course
Your course should align with your background or future career path.
Wrong course = higher chances of rejection.
4. Understand the full cost
Not just tuition.
Accommodation, living expenses, visa, insurance… everything.
5. Prepare your documents properly
Many people get rejected not because they are not qualified…
But because their documents were not presented correctly.
Now here’s the 6th one…
6. Stop trying to figure everything out alone.
This is where most people get it wrong.
They rely on random information, guesswork, and trial and error.
And that’s how they waste time and money.
Study abroad is simple when you are guided… and complicated when you’re not.
If you’re ready to do it the right way, say 'Hi' in the comment section.
