I baked my very first flawed cake at 15 when I had no idea what I was doing at the time and here’s what that taught me:
👉It’s not as easy as it looks on paper but it’s not as difficult either.
👉It may take more than one attempt to get better results.
👉Consistency will get you farther than one off trial.
Every expert baker you admire today once baked a cake for the very first time.
They weren’t born with perfect recipes nor did they magically know how to stack or decorate cakes flawlessly.
They simply started.
So if you’ve been telling yourself:
❌ “I’m not a baker so I can’t bake.”
❌ “I don’t know enough yet.”
❌ “I’ll start when I’m more experienced.”
❌ “Baking looks very tough.”
❌ “I need sophisticated tools.”
Here’s your reminder:
You don’t have to be a baker to bake your first cake.
Your first cake may not be perfect. You might make some obvious mistakes. But every masterpiece begins with a beginner who is willing to try.
So stop waiting until you feel ready and simply start where you are with what you have and learn as you go.

These baking trays can be quite a challenge to use especially if you haven’t used them before.
Yes they are nonstick but NEVER bank on that, otherwise you’ll have a hot sticky mess coming up soon!
So if you are planning to use or get them soon, arm yourself with these three steps to save you from premium tears and wasted ingredients.
1. Grease each of holes with butter or margarine.
2. Sprinkle flour generously to coat every corner.
3. Here’s the koko!💪🏽 Cut parchment paper for each hole and carefully place it.
Bonus tip: ditch those brown papers and go for the real white parchment paper.✅
