Adeniran Oreoluwa Adetona and Koiki Aishat Kehinde, two 400-level students from the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, emerged as winners of the quiz competition at ACCESS 6.0, held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium, UNILAG.


Competing against students from UNILAG, YABATECH, OAU and Redeemers University, the duo demonstrated exceptional knowledge and academic excellence, securing victory and a cash prize of N250,000.

Mr. Oreoluwa and Miss Aishat, who are both AAT and ACA certified, have set an impressive standard for student achievement by attaining this feat and further strengthening Lagos State University’s reputation for excellence.

Today, the LASU Life Team celebrates the duo for this remarkable accomplishment, as they continue to embody Lagos State University’s tradition of nurturing leadership and greatness.

LASU Uploads First Batch of Change of Institution Applicants' Data to Ongoing Admission Screening Portal

Candidates who previously changed their institution to Lagos State University can now proceed to check the admission screening portal, as the first batch of their records has been successfully uploaded.

Affected candidates are advised to log in to the portal and verify that their details have been reflected accordingly.

Our next student feature shines on Taiwo Goodness UKWEDJE, a 300-level student of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Epe, and a recent winner of the ₦50 Million Student Venture Capital Grant.


Popularly know as Dymsy, Taiwo is someone deeply driven by curiosity, self-development. His passion for entrepreneurship and innovation was born from his ability to identify problems and create solutions from scratch.

He is the founder of a digital rental accommodation brand (D-Rentals). A verified housing platform designed to eliminate accommodation fraud targeting students.

Taiwo’s journey into tech and innovation began early in his academic career. In 200-level, he participated in the Nexus Hackathon, where his team emerged 3rd in an Engineering Design Sprint. This experience marked the beginning of his coding and product development journey, which he further strengthened by venturing into Data Analysis.

Furthermore, his commitment towards growth yielded tangible achievements, as in 200 level, Taiwo secured a ₦500,000 grant after presenting his product at UNILAG.

Beyond achievements, Taiwo’s journey has been one of personal transformation. He admits that stepping out of his comfort zone — especially in speaking, teamwork, and collaboration — played a major role in his growth.

He was also a participant in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, where he earned Bronze in (SSCE), Silver in 100 level, and Gold award in 200-level, reflecting his dedication to long-term personal development and discipline.

Looking ahead, Taiwo has clear goals. He aims to scale his products, build digital infrastructure that improves student life, and expand solutions around rental accommodation and student marketplaces. He has also set an ambitious financial goal of reaching ₦100 Million, before the year ends.

However, beyond financial success, he emphasizes impact. He is inspired by mentors like Rocky Fela, and Tunde Onakoya and believes in building with structure, discipline, and long-term vision.

His advice to students is simple: identify problems, take action, and don’t be afraid to start from nothing.
