What is your favourite Goethe-Institut moment? Let us know in the comments!🫶
🎉 75 Jahre Goethe-Institut: Wir in der Welt.
Since 1951, the Goethe-Institut is connecting people across borders. What began 75 years ago is now a global network for encounters, dialogue and cultural cooperation. And it is more important than ever, particularly in times of global conflict and polarisation.
Around the world, our Goethe-Instituts create spaces where people can engage in conversation, learn from one another and explore new avenues together. This is where projects, collaborations and initiatives emerge that strengthen trust and facilitate dialogue through the power of culture.
In our anniversary year, 2026, we will look back on these stories and encounters, whilst also demonstrating how language, culture and education continue to build bridges and shape the future today.
Through events and personal stories from all over the world, we will celebrate the diversity of our work and the people who shape it.

We ended the Chord Notes: Body Rhythms in the city exhibition with an evening of scent, music, and good energy.
Our final gathering brought together Make Your SCENT with and the Closing Party hosted by WeAreAllChemicals ( ) , creating an evening where fragrance, rhythm, and movement became ways of holding memory and celebrating collective experience.
Through the scent workshop, participants explored fragrance as a personal and cultural archive, creating compositions that reflected memory, identity, and emotion. As the evening unfolded into sound, WeAreAllChemicals ( ) carried us through a genre-fluid set of Afrobeat, electronic, and underground sounds, closing the exhibition on a note that felt energetic, intimate, and alive.
Big thank you , ludi_org , , ,
Thank you to everyone who joined us across the exhibition, talks, workshops, and closing celebration.
Until the next time, let’s continue dreaming new worlds! 🚀

On Saturday, April 18th 2026, we gathered to slow down with
We were welcomed into "The Breathing City", where we were invited to settle into our bodies and return to the simple act of breathing. Guided by , the session moved gently through moments of stillness and guided exercises, helping us tune into rhythm, pace, and the relationship between body and environment.
Within that shared space, breath became a way of sensing and moving through the city differently. A pause from the constant motion of Lagos, creating room to reflect, reconnect, and simply be.
It was a quiet, grounding moment. One that lingers in the body, in memory, and in the way we return to our breath.
Big thank you to for the amazing session!
Thank you to everyone who joined us. 🚀
