*THE WISDOM CHURCH DEVOTIONAL WITH DR JAMES ADEYEMI ON TUESDAY 16TH JUNE 2026.*
TOPIC:- *THE JUDAS KIND OF PEOPLE*
TEXT:*"Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, 'What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him over to you?'" Matthew 26:14-15*
*Message*
Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus. He walked with Jesus, witnessed miracles, heard divine teachings, and shared intimate moments with the Master. Yet, despite being close to Jesus physically, his heart was far from God.
The Judas kind of people are those who pretend to be loyal but secretly work against God's purpose and the welfare of others. They may appear friendly, supportive, and trustworthy, yet their motives are driven by selfish gain, envy, greed, or bitterness.
Judas teaches us that not everyone around us shares our vision or celebrates our progress. Some people stay close only to gather information, seek personal benefits, or wait for an opportunity to betray trust. This is why believers must seek discernment and walk in wisdom.
However, the greater lesson is not merely to identify Judas-like people but to guard our own hearts from developing Judas-like traits. Greed, offense, unforgiveness, and spiritual compromise can gradually open the door to betrayal and disobedience.
Even when betrayed, Jesus remained focused on His divine assignment. He did not allow the actions of Judas to derail God's purpose for His life. Likewise, believers must remain steadfast, trusting God to expose every hidden work of darkness and fulfill His purpose.
*Prayer Points*
1.Father, grant me discernment to recognize unhealthy influences and deceptive relationships in my life.
2 Lord, purify my heart from greed, bitterness, and every Judas-like tendency.
3.Father, protect me from betrayal and preserve me from those who seek to hinder Your purpose for my life.
4 Lord, help me remain focused on my divine assignment regardless of opposition or disappointment.
5.Let every hidden agenda against my progress be exposed and brought to nothing in Jesus' name.
*Prophetic Declaration*
Today, the Lord will give you wisdom and discernment. Every Judas assigned against your destiny shall be exposed. You will not be distracted by betrayal, and God's purpose for your life shall prevail. Your testimony will not be stolen, your destiny will not be diverted, and your victory shall be established in Jesus' name. Amen.
Have a blessed and victorious day!

*THE WISDOM CHURCH DEVOTIONAL WITH DR JAMES ADEYEMI ON MONDAY 8TH JUNE 2026*
TOPIC: *OVERCOMING FAMINE*
Text:*And Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. Genesis 26:12*
Famine is a season of scarcity, lack, and uncertainty. It can be physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual. Throughout Scripture, God's people faced periods of famine, yet those who trusted and obeyed Him experienced divine preservation and supernatural provision.
In Genesis 26, Isaac encountered a severe famine in the land. Human wisdom would have suggested relocating to a more prosperous place, but God instructed him to remain where he was. Isaac obeyed, and despite the unfavorable conditions, he sowed his seed and reaped a hundredfold harvest. His success was not based on economic conditions but on God's covenant blessing.
Many believers become discouraged when they encounter difficult seasons. However, famine does not limit God. The God who fed Israel in the wilderness, provided for Elijah through ravens, and multiplied the widow's oil is still able to sustain His children today.
*The key to overcoming famine is maintaining faith, obedience, diligence, and dependence on God.* While others may be overwhelmed by scarcity, God's people can experience abundance through His divine intervention. Challenges may come, but they do not have the final word. God's provision is greater than every lack.
If you are currently facing a season of famine in any area of your life, trust God completely. Remain faithful, keep sowing good seeds, and refuse to give in to fear. The Lord is able to turn your season of scarcity into a testimony of abundance.
*Are you allowing difficult circumstances to weaken your faith, or are you trusting God to provide for your needs despite what you see around you*?
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are my Provider. Help me to trust and obey You regardless of my circumstances. Supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory, and let Your favor rest upon me. Turn every season of lack into abundance and every challenge into a testimony. In Jesus' name, Amen.

THE RED-SEA EXPERIENCE
*THE WISDOM CHURCH DEVOTIONAL WITH DR JAMES ADEYEMI ON TUESDAY 26TH MAY 2026*
Topic:- *Defender of the Faith*
Text:
*2 Timothy 4:7-I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.*
Memory Verse:-
*“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…” — 1 Timothy 6:12*
A defender of the faith is someone who stands firmly for God’s truth despite pressure, temptation, opposition, or changing times.
In today’s world, many believers are tempted to compromise their faith because of fear, criticism, or worldly gain. However, God calls His children to stand strong and remain faithful.
The Apostle Paul the Apostle defended the gospel even in prison, persecution, and hardship. He never denied that Christ, but boldly preached the truth. As Christians, defending the faith does not mean fighting people physically; it means living a godly life, speaking truth with wisdom, praying consistently, and standing for righteousness.
*You defend the faith when*:
You refuse to compromise your Christian values.
You speak truth in love.
You remain faithful during difficult seasons.
You pray and trust God despite challenges.
You boldly represent Christ in your workplace, family, and community.
Challenges may come, but God strengthens those who remain faithful.
Being a defender of the faith means staying rooted in God’s Word and trusting Him to help you stand.
In real life, many people give up their faith when prayers seem delayed, finances are tight, or temptations arise. But true faith is proven during difficult times. Just as security guards protect valuable assets, believers must protect their spiritual life from doubt, fear, false teachings, and discouragement.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for calling me to be a defender of the faith. Strengthen my heart to remain faithful in every season. Help me to stand for truth, live righteously, and finish my race well, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
