As the Founder and Chairman of the Eleganza Group of Companies, his legendary journey in indigenous manufacturing embodies resilience and strategic growth. He will be presiding over this year's crucial conversation: "Winning the Customer in a Tough Economy (How Nigerian Businesses Can Adapt and Grow)."

Alhaji Chief Rasak Akanni Okoya, CON, is a Nigerian industrialist, property developer, and philanthropist โ€” Founder and Chairman of the Eleganza Group of Companies and of RAO Investment Property Company Limited. Born on Lagos Island on 12 January 1940, he rose, with only a primary education, from his father's tailoring trade to build one of Nigeria's largest homegrown manufacturing conglomerates, with a market reaching across West Africa.

His enterprise extends from the everyday goods that furnish Nigerian homes to the residential estates and warehousing shaping the Lekkiโ€“Epe corridor. A holder of the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger and the Aare of Lagos, he stands among the country's foremost indigenous industrialists and elder statesmen of enterprise.

Mr. Olayemi Michael Cardoso is the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), appointed in September 2023, where he leads the nationโ€™s monetary authority at a pivotal moment for Nigeriaโ€™s economic stability. In recognition of his leadership and reform-driven approach, he was named Central Bank Governor of the Year at the 2025 African Banker Awards.

In the private sector, Cardoso has held senior leadership positions across the financial services industry, including as Chairman of Citibank Nigeria. He also served on the boards of several leading corporations and non-profit organizations, contributing his expertise in finance, corporate governance, and sustainable development.

Internationally, Cardoso has provided strategic guidance to a range of global institutions on economic development, urban policy, and financial sector reform.

An advocate for good governance, accountability, and inclusivity, Cardosoโ€™s leadership at the Central Bank of Nigeria is marked by a commitment to restoring confidence, ensuring price stability, deepening the financial system, and positioning Nigeria as a competitive player in the global economy.

Cardoso holds a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Managerial and Administrative Studies from Aston University, UK, and a Masterโ€™s degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as a Mason Fellow. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
