People ask me how I listen to audiobooks.

First of all, there are so many platforms that you can listen to audiobooks online. Some of them are free, others are paid for while others have a free version which you can use to experience the platform before you upgrade to the paid plan for more features

For the purpose of this post, I will recommend SPOTIFY which I use the most and I am still on the free version

There are 2 ways I listen to audiobooks on Spotify:

1. Audiobook Review: This is when I listen to the review of the book by the author or someone else in audio format. Sometimes, the entire audiobook review can take about 15mins to 45mins

Remember, it is a review and the person doing the review is sharing lessons learnt chapter by chapter

I only do this if I have the intention to read the book itself. Listening to the audiobook gives me an overall view of the book before reading it. This will boost my ability to understand the book better and also remember lessons learnt

2. Full Audiobook: This is when the author or someone else does an audio of the entire book from start to finish, chapter by chapter

I use this format when I don't have the intention to read the book again. And I approach listening to the audiobook as though I am reading the main book

I sit down comfortably with my earpiece plugged in and my notes to document lessons learnt. I pause whenever I hear something that gets my attention, think and write

Lastly for now, everyone can leverage on Audiobooks to save a lot of time and still learn but if you have gone through my Speed Reading Program either one on one or in a group and you discovered through the LEARNING STYLE TEST, that you are predominantly an audio learner, go ahead and listen to more of audiobooks because you learn fast by what you hear
