It is with great pride that I share the amazing progress of our Nursery 2 pupils this term.

Our children have developed beyond expectations. They are now writing and copying notes with the focus and neatness we usually see in Primary 5 pupils. Their fine motor skills, eye-to-hand coordination, and eye-to-eye contact have improved tremendously.

We are also delighted to see their handwriting blossom — clear, beautiful, and confident strokes. Even more exciting, our Nursery 2s are already reading up to the 8-syllable words in their syllabus!

This is proof that with the right foundation in education, character training, and exposure, great things happen early. Well done to our Nursery 2 children, and a big thank you to our teachers and parents for the partnership.

*Yesterday, Monday 15th June 2026*, Virgo Praedicanda International School Secondary students stepped beyond textbooks to embrace responsibility at *Alliance Française, Port Harcourt*.

In commemoration of *World Environment Day June 5th* and *World Ocean Day June 8th*, VPIS organized a 2-part learning experience designed to create awareness AND action.

*HOW WE DID IT AT VPIS:*
🎓 *2-Hour Live Stream Masterclass*
Our students joined an intensive streaming session with environmental educators on *Biodiversity, Deforestation, and Ocean Conservation*. They understood the science before seeing it in real life.

🌿 *Field Excursion @ Alliance Française*
Knowledge moved from screen to soil. At Alliance Française, students explored the environment, observed environmental challenges firsthand, and discussed practical solutions to protect our rivers, seas, and oceans.

*THE VPIS PLEDGE OUR STUDENTS NOW LIVE BY:*
1. Reduce single-use plastic
2. Plant trees and protect green spaces
3. Dispose waste properly
4. Speak up for cleaner waterways

Because at VPIS Secondary, we believe: _The ocean gives us oxygen. If we harm the ocean, we harm ourselves._

This is education with purpose. This is VPIS raising *young men and women for global impact*.

🇳🇬 Democracy Day Message From VPIS!!

Today, June 12, we join the nation to celebrate Democracy Day. It is a day that reminds us that freedom, justice, and responsibility are the true foundations of a strong nation.

At Virgo Praedicanda International School, we believe democracy begins in the classroom. Every day, we teach our pupils the values of respect, honesty, fairness, and service to others. These are not just school values — they are the values that will build the Nigeria of tomorrow.

On this day, let us pray:
🙏 For peace, unity, and wisdom for our leaders
🙏 For safety and a bright future for all school children in Oyo State,Borno State and across Nigeria

Our Primary 3 “Pearls” had an exciting day on the farm on Wednesday, 10th June 2026!

They observed the full planting procedure, identified crops, vegetables, and fruits, and learned the difference between organic and inorganic manure.

It was learning beyond the classroom — hands-on, fun, and full of discovery. The Pearls now understand where food comes from and the hard work of farmers.

Safety first at Virgo Praedicanda International School! 🛡️🔥

Today our pupils took part in a practical *Security & Emergency Safety Training*. They learned life-saving skills on what to do in case of an emergency and how to stay calm, alert, and safe.

Here’s what they practiced:
✅ How to use a fire extinguisher using the PASS method
✅ Identifying and using emergency exits
✅ Moving quickly and safely to the school muster point
✅ Key safety and security rules to follow every day

It was an engaging session filled with demonstrations, drills, and lots of questions from our smart pupils! We’re proud of how well they participated and understood the importance of staying safe. 👏👧👦
