AI, research, and collaboration — all in one Summer School šŸ’”

For five days, 28 master’s and PhD students from six European countries came together in Timișoara for the second edition of the E³UDRES² PhD Summer School, hosted by Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara.

Under the theme ā€œThe Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Science and Educationā€, participants explored how AI is shaping research, learning, and the future of higher education through expert sessions, practical workshops, mentoring, and collaborative activities.

The programme also created space for exchange beyond the academic sessions, from discovering Timișoara to experiencing UPT’s immersive 360° Igloo Vision space.

The Summer School concluded with research presentations, certificates, E³UDRES² digital badges, and 2 credits for participants who completed all practical activities.

The event also featured the participation of – Center for Circular Materials, Innovation and Education, one of the E³UDRES² prospective Centers of Excellence, bringing additional perspective on circular materials, innovation, research-driven education, and sustainable regional impact.

Another step in strengthening the E³UDRES² community of young researchers across Europe. šŸŒ

Dutch Architecture Students Participate in Joint Workshop in Hungary

Magyar AgrĆ”r- Ć©s ƉlettudomĆ”nyi Egyetem MATE was pleased to welcome architecture students and instructors from Saxion University of Applied Sciences on 2 June. The visit included joint workshops, creative model-making activities, and a tour of the arboretum, strengthening the professional connection between Hungarian and Dutch students within E³UDRES² European University Alliance.

Call for Researchers and Students: Solve Real Business Challenges in Tech & Creative IndustriesšŸ””

From 23 to 27 November 2026, the Vidzeme Open Innovation Hub (VAIC) will organize the annual Innovation Co-Creation Laboratory (ICL), bringing together researchers and students from ViA - Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences international partner universities including E³UDRES² European University. For the third time, participants will tackle real-life business challenges provided by companies from the Vidzeme region, developing solutions through the synergy of technology and creative industries.

has launched the Erasmus+ international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "XR Meets Health Tech: Investigating Virtual and Augmented Realities in the Age of AI", bringing together participants from 14 different countries šŸŒ

šŸ¤ The programme focuses on the development of creative and interactive XR solutions for healthcare, rehabilitation, prevention, and other health technology-related fields. Participants gain knowledge of XR fundamentals, AI integration, and data utilization while working on real-world challenges.

The programme consists of:
Part 1 – theoretical and conceptual preparation;
Part 2 – an intensive AR/VR hackathon, during which participants develop functional XR prototypes.

šŸ—“ļø The intensive programme will take place from 3–7 June.
The BIP is an international intensive learning programme that combines online preparation with an on-site AR/VR hackathon at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. The programme focuses on the development of Extended Reality (XR) solutions for healthcare, health technologies, and rehabilitation, integrating artificial intelligence, sensors, and data analytics.

While the Student Board was meeting in JyvƤskylƤ, our Vice-Chair was in Strasbourg taking part in ESA — the European Student Assembly, where students from across Europe come together to discuss ideas, challenges, and the future of Europe.

Because student representation does not stop at E³UDRES². Sometimes, it goes full Europe mode ✨😌
