Orientation 2026 in a nutshell:

We recently organised an Orientation Program to welcome, and acquaint our newly enrolled Grade XI students and parents with SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Sanothimi, its culture, values, and learning environment.

The program proved itself as a platform to share aspirations, engage in meaningful interactions, and foster connections among students, parents, and the school community. It was encouraging to see each individual initiate building relationships- commonly agreeing that trust, collaboration, and shared purpose leads to a constructive learning climate!

As we turn the page to a new chapter, we are excited to walk alongside our newest members in their journey of learning, growing and creating meaningful foundations for their years to come.

SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Sanothimi takes pride to disclose that our aspiring Gymnastics Team secured 3rd Position in the Under-16 National School Gymnastics Championship, held on 6–7 June 2026 (23–24 Jestha 2083) and organized by the Nepal School Sports Federation in collaboration with the Nepal Gymnastics Association.

We express our heartfelt Congratulations to the young gymnasts for their outstanding performance, and applaude the dedication, efforts and perseverance they carry! Also, the school is sincerely grateful towards the coaches, teachers, and parents whose support made this achievement possible!

SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Sanothimi is honored to host four days (8 - 11 Jestha 2083) long National Youth Council Model United Nations (NYC MUN) 2026 which concluded today.

The Honorable Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Shisir Khanal, visited SOS Children’s Villages Nepal last Friday alongside esteemed dignitaries. The visit created an opportunity for meaningful discussions on the organisation’s key programmes focused on supporting the development and well-being of children, young people, and communities. 💙🌟

During the visit, Dr Ganga B. Gurung, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, shared valuable insights into the organisation’s initiatives and ongoing efforts to ensure children's rights to parental care, contribution for reducing the vulnerability of families on the verge of losing parental care, support communities and families to respond the humanitarian emergencies and contribution towards youth development.

The Honorable Minister also expressed keen interest in learning more about SOS Children’s Villages Nepal’s work and its impact on children, families, and communities across the country. 💙🌟
