🔬 Emulsion Stability Evaluation – Observational Insight
An oil-in-water emulsion was prepared using high-shear homogenization (Day 0: uniform and visually stable).
Observations:
- Maintained homogeneity for ~1 month
- Subsequent phase separation (oil layer formation) observed
DLS Analysis:
- Z-average ≈ 309 nm
- PDI ≈ 0.53
- Bimodal distribution indicating polydispersity and droplet coalescence
Interpretation:
The system exhibited short-term kinetic stability, but lacked long-term structural integrity—likely due to insufficient interfacial stabilization and broad droplet size distribution.

I am delighted to share that our book chapter as a co-author, titled “Documentation Practices in the Pharmaceutical Industry” has been published in the textbook “Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance: A Comprehensive Textbook for Pharmacy Students and Professionals” published by Lovely Professional University (2026).
This chapter discusses key aspects of pharmaceutical documentation systems including Master Formula Records (MFR), Batch Formula Records (BFR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data integrity, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical quality management. Proper documentation is fundamental to ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), regulatory compliance, traceability, and patient safety.
I am grateful to collaborate with my co-authors Dr. Jayant Kumar Sahu, Khundrakpam Sadananda Singh, and Anil Verma, and thankful to the editors Dr. Ravikant Gupta and Dr. Violina Kakoty for this opportunity.
This contribution reflects my continued interest in pharmaceutical quality systems, regulatory science, and research in life sciences.
Looking forward to contributing further to impactful research and academic collaborations.

Coffee, Tea, and Brain Health — Interesting New Evidence
A large 40+ year cohort study published in JAMA followed more than 130,000 adults to understand how daily beverage habits affect cognitive health.
Key insights: ✅ Moderate caffeinated coffee intake linked with lower dementia risk
✅ Tea showed similar protective benefits
✅ 2–3 cups coffee/day or 1–2 cups tea/day gave the best results
❌ Decaffeinated coffee showed no significant benefit
Researchers suggest caffeine and plant antioxidants may help reduce neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, and age-related cognitive decline.
Takeaway: Simple lifestyle choices like moderate coffee or tea consumption, along with exercise, balanced diet, and sleep, may contribute to better long-term brain health.
