Here is a new Nepali proverb: "ää𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐮" (आँखा चिम्लनु)
It literally means "to close one's eyes". Figuratively, it means to overlook a fault, ignore a problem or pretend not to notice something.

Here is another Nepali proverb:
"𝙃𝙖𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙠𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙠𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙖 𝙟𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙖 " (हात्तीको मुखमा जिरा)

This proverb means “a very small amount compared to what is needed or expected.”
Literally, "𝙃𝙖𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙠𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙠𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙖 𝙟𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙖" refers to “a cumin seed in the mouth of an elephant,” and the closest English equivalent is “a drop in the ocean.”

Are you still confused about the verbs "lagnu" and "lyaaunu" ? Here are a few examples.

1️⃣ म मेरो कुकुर पार्कमा लग्छु ।
ma mero kukur park maa lagchhu.
I take my dog to the park.

2️⃣म मेरो बच्चालाई स्कूलमा लग्छु ।
ma mero bachhaa laai school maa lagchhu.
I take my child to school.

3️⃣म मेरो साथीलाई घरमा ल्याउँछु ।
ma mero saathi laai ghar maa lyaaüchhu.
I bring my friend home.

4️⃣उसको जन्मदिनमा म केक ल्याउँछु ।
usko janmadin maa ma cake lyaaüchhu.
I bring a cake for his birthday.
