πŸ† Friendship first, competition second.

Moments like these remind us that the greatest victory is building positive relationships and learning to support one another.

πŸ† Achyut showed us that passion doesn't retire β€” it just gets better with experience!

⚽ Thank you, Achyut, for being such a wonderful sport and for showing our tamariki that confidence, enthusiasm, and a love of movement can stay with us at any age. ❀️

With a big smile and plenty of determination, Hennie joined in the World Cup fun and showed our tamariki that being active, trying new things, and having fun are what really matter. Her enthusiasm and willingness to get involved brought lots of laughter and encouragement to the day.

We're not saying she's ready for the FIFA Women's World Cup just yet... but judging by this photo, she might already be negotiating her contract! πŸ†βš½πŸ˜‚

Thank you, Hennie, for always bringing such positive energy and being a wonderful role model for our tamariki. ❀️🌟

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβš½ Obstacle Course Challenge! βš½πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

As part of our FIFA World Cup celebrations, our tamariki took on an exciting football obstacle course challenge!

The children carefully dribbled the ball around cones, navigated different pathways, and worked hard to stay in control of the ball while moving through the course. They showed perseverance, concentration, and confidence as they challenged themselves to complete each stage.

Obstacle course activities help children develop balance, coordination, body awareness, agility, and problem-solving skills while encouraging them to take healthy risks and build resilience.

It was wonderful to see the children encouraging one another, celebrating their achievements, and having so much fun while being active outdoors.

⚽ Every child was a winner today!

βš½πŸ† FIFA World Cup Sports Day at Margaret Griffen Park! πŸ†βš½

To celebrate the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, our tamariki headed to Margaret Griffen Park for a fun-filled morning of football, teamwork, and outdoor adventure!

The children eagerly practised their dribbling, kicking, running, and goal-scoring skills while enjoying the wide open space and fresh air. Through football games and team challenges, they developed their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. Most importantly, they learned about teamwork, taking turns, encouraging friends, and celebrating each other's successes.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and moments of determination as our young players chased the ball across the field and proudly represented their teams. Experiences like these help children build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of physical activity.

A special thank you to our amazing team members Bushra, Gurpreet, Soma, Dhvani, Nikhil, Wudi, and Naz for their enthusiasm, support, and encouragement throughout the day. Your involvement helped make this World Cup celebration a wonderful experience for our tamariki. 🌟

🎨✨ Learning happens through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences!

Our toddlers enjoyed exploring marble painting, a fun and engaging sensory art experience. By carefully tilting and moving the tray, they watched the marbles roll through the paint, creating colourful lines and unique patterns across the paper. As they experimented with different movements, they were developing hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration, and an understanding of cause and effect. The children showed curiosity, creativity, and perseverance as they discovered how their actions influenced the marbles’ paths, turning a simple activity into a wonderful opportunity for learning through play.

πŸ§²πŸ”¨ Bang, Tap and Create!

Today our tamariki explored creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor development through a hands-on magnetic construction experience. Using colourful geometric shapes, magnets, and wooden hammers, the children carefully selected, positioned, and secured pieces onto cork boards to create their own unique designs.

From building colourful patterns to designing imaginative people and creatures, the children demonstrated concentration, perseverance, and creativity as they experimented with different shapes and arrangements. They worked independently, made decisions about their designs, and proudly shared their creations with their peers.

Experiences like these support:
✨ Fine motor strength and hand-eye coordination
✨ Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
✨ Creativity and imagination
✨ Spatial awareness and early mathematical concepts
✨ Confidence and independence in learning

It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, focused, and excited to bring their ideas to life through open-ended play. πŸŒˆπŸ’‘

πŸ’™ A Heartfelt Message from One of Our Families πŸ’™

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing children grow in confidence, independence, and happiness during their time with us.

Recently, we received this beautiful feedback from Our family, and with their permission, we would love to share a small part of their journey.

"When we first came to New Zealand, everything was new to us β€” the culture, the teaching methods, and the environment. Aidan was shy and nervous about starting kindergarten. Making friends, eating well, and joining in learning experiences were all challenges for him.

Over time, with the love, care, and support of the Rising Stars team, Aidan became more confident, comfortable, and engaged. He built friendships, developed new skills, and grew into a happy learner who now feels confident at school.

We are truly thankful to the whole Rising Stars team for all the love, care, and support given to our child and our family."

Reading messages like this reminds us why we do what we do every day. Early childhood education is about much more than preparing children for schoolβ€”it is about building relationships, creating a sense of belonging, and supporting each child to thrive at their own pace.

Thank you to Aidan and his whānau for trusting us to be part of your journey. We are so proud of everything Aidan has achieved and feel privileged to have shared this special chapter with your family.

✨ Every child grows differently, but every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and capable.

πŸ‘‘πŸŽ‰ Celebrating King’s Birthday at Rising Stars Lynfield! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘‘

What a royal day we had celebrating King’s Birthday!

Our tamariki arrived dressed as princes and princesses, filling the centre with excitement, imagination, and plenty of royal charm. Throughout the day, the children enjoyed a special High Tea experience, gathering together to share delicious treats, practise table manners, and enjoy conversations with their friends.

One of the highlights of the celebration was learning the Waltz. The children had so much fun moving gracefully to the music, practising their dance steps, and experiencing a little piece of royal tradition. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they danced together and supported one another.

Through these meaningful experiences, children explored creativity, social connections, cultural traditions, and a sense of belonging within our learning community.

A big thank you to our whānau for helping the children look so royal today. We hope everyone enjoyed this special celebration as much as we did! πŸ‘‘πŸ’™
