Blast off! πβ¨ Our tamariki have shown a massive interest in outer space lately, so our teachers decided to take this to the next level!
By extending this interest into a variety of different activities tamariki may look like they are only exploring outer space, but they are also exploring literacy, developing fine motor skills and strengthening their problem-solving abilities - all disguised as cosmic fun! ππ

The Gruffalo is a beloved story in centres across the motu! πβ¨ At BestStart, it inspired us to make our very own "Gruffalo Crumble."
This activity perfectly extends the magic of the book while diving into some wonderful messy play - ideal for getting those fine motor skills going and expanding our children's interests! πͺ΅πΉ

For last week's King's Birthday celebrations BestStart Waihopai designed a special pathway that guides their community towards their special community pantry and garden! πΏβ¨

BestStart Coast Boulevard took tamariki on their very first beach excursion π
They had a wonderful time exploring the sand, building sandcastles, collecting shells and getting creative with their seaside treasures. The day was made even more special with a relaxed picnic together, sharing kai, conversation and plenty of smiles π
