✨🌟 Matariki and the Manurewa Magic 🌟✨
As we welcome the Maaori New Year, our Maaori Council and Te Ahikaa are leading us in understanding the deeper meaning of Matariki and sharing ways we can celebrate together as one whaanau.
Matariki is a time to remember those who have passed, celebrate the present, and look with hope towards the future. It reminds us to come together, reflect on our journey, show gratitude, and set aspirations for the year ahead.
This week our kura will be engaging in a range of Matariki activities that honour maatauranga Maaori, strengthen our connections to each other, and celebrate the unique identity of Aotearoa.
Ngaa mihi to our Maaori Council and Te Ahikaa for sharing their knowledge and leadership with our kura community.

🌏❤️ One Whaanau Across Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa ❤️🌏
Our 02 Pacific Studies class recently took part in the 40 Hour Famine, raising awareness and support for communities in the Solomon Islands who are experiencing the impacts of climate change.
As a kura, we want our rangatahi to understand that they are connected to something bigger than themselves. Through learning, service, and action, our students demonstrated what it means to be kaitiaki and to stand alongside our Pacific neighbours.
A huge thank you to Ms Vili, Ms Watson, and Mr Ilaua for supporting this kaupapa and creating opportunities for our students to turn their learning into meaningful action.
The Manurewa Magic is at its best when our rangatahi use their knowledge to make a difference in the world around them. 🌺✨
