We’re proud to be sponsoring the 2026 Independent Schools of New Zealand Teacher Symposium, happening 6–7 July at Saint Kentigern Boys’ School in Auckland.
This is a symposium designed for teachers, by teachers: a chance to connect, learn, share practice, and build relationships with others across the education sector.
And an important note: you don’t need to be a member of ISNZ or part of the Independent Schools New Zealand network to attend. If you’re a teacher looking for meaningful professional learning and the chance to network with others in your industry, especially in Auckland, this event is open to you.
Registrations are open now.

Our teaching team recently engaged in professional development focused on inclusive practices for neurodiverse tamariki through Coactive Education Consultancy
This learning has given us valuable opportunities to reflect on how children experience the world in different ways, and how we can continue creating environments where every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive.
By deepening our understanding, we’re strengthening the ways we support communication, emotional regulation, connection and belonging for all children at Uplands.

We're so thrilled to announce our first ever Educational Symposium, hosted by Coactive and Telling Your Stories!!
Faith, identity, culture, and story — all woven together in one powerful day of learning.
Faith in Our Stories is a symposium for Catholic leaders and educators, bringing together inspiring voices from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia to explore the role stories play in shaping school identity, strengthening faith, and bringing learning to life for tamariki.
Across the day, participants will hear from keynote speakers, panels, and practical sessions exploring storytelling as a spiritual, cultural, pedagogical, and community-building practice.
From foundation stories and charism, to iwi partnerships, bicultural perspectives, imagery, authorship, leadership, and classroom practice : this is a rich opportunity to reflect, connect, and be inspired.
Tickets are available now for Thursday 20 August at Michaels Avenue Community Centre and are only $120*!
