We would like to congratulate our former student Mohammad, who graduated from his Master in Education (First Class Honours) in May of this year, having studied at the University of Auckland.
Here is what he had to say about his experience at Languages International:
I studied the English for University Course at Languages International in September 2022. This helped me gain entrance to study the Master of Education degree at The University of Auckland.
I am a teacher back in Saudi Arabia and doing this course helped me deepen my knowledge and develop my professional skills in a specialized way.
The school played a significant role in preparing me for university life. The course was thoughtfully designed to equip students with the academic skills needed for higher education. What stood out most was the quality of the teachers and staff. They were highly professional, genuinely supportive, and patient, which made a real difference in my learning experience.
I chose Languages International because of its long experience in language education and the high quality of its teachers and staff. The location was also convenient, and the university preparation English course was exactly what I needed for my academic goals.
I have already returned to my home country upon completing my studies. My goal now is to utilize the knowledge and skills I acquired to develop professionally and make a greater impact in my career and field of work.
Everything about LI was great. But if I had to highlight the best things, it would be the teachers and staff. They were incredibly friendly and professional. The location was also ideal, and the learning environment was of very high quality.
Thank you Mohammad for your kind words and congratulations again at your success!

Have you visited the Maritime Museum?
We did!!!
It was so so cool. We learned a lot about Auckland’s history and the migration of Pacific peoples - the long journeys they made to come to NZ, why they chose to settle here and the story of the sailing vessels from ancient waka to modern high tech boats and all of that for FREE! Thanks to LI student card.🙂
After our visit, we enjoyed debriefing and talking together in English in a very casual and relaxed atmosphere.
We will certainly be back. One of my favourite museums in Tamaki Makaurau!!

Today was his last day after studying with us for 16 weeks!

Autumn 🍂 is so clement still in Tamaki Makaurau that we decided to spend our free time outside in the sunshine. On Friday afternoon, we walked from the school up to the bridge along the marina called: Westhaven. It was easy, calm and flat all along. On the way back some of the students enjoyed some drinks in this wonderful place out of the beaten track called Squashbuckler’s .
We had great conversations and we really enjoyed our time together!

With the beautiful weather and amazing surroundings, we make the most of the environment we have and take the opportunity to have classes outside - like this Conversation class with teacher Fiona. Come and study at Languages International to experience what we have to offer!

Students went on a History Tour around Auckland City with our Historian teacher, Sir James.
Students got to see and be informed about many places and their history such as:
• The site of the Government House - once the centre of New Zealand’s political sphere until the house burnt down, and the new Government House was build down the road (in Parliament Reserve).
• History of the Pohutukawa tree planted in the City.
• Sir Johns Logan Campbell’s home on Anzac Road – a leading business man and later the Mayor, a great benefactor to the city.
• the waka prows which were installed along Beach Road to delineate the shoreline, prior to reclamation.
And the list goes on!
Sir James’s history walk is always a highlight for our students, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
A big thank you also to teacher Paul for joining the trip and capturing such fantastic photos, giving us a wonderful glimpse into the experience.

Languages International brings English to life through creative, immersive experiences both in and beyond the classroom.
We are passionate about inspiring students to reach their full potential by learning in ways that feel engaging, dynamic and real.
A great example is our Grammar and Vocabulary class, who took advantage of the beautiful weather to explore the Auckland Art trail - turning the city into their classroom as they discovered art , shared ideas and practiced English in a meaningful setting.
