🚨💚 NEWS FLASH! 💚🚨
Look at what has arrived at MBCC! It’s the proof copy of our new Cook Book! 📕 It is just beautiful and we are so grateful, once again, to Sarah and the team at for such a high quality print job. This edition is such a wonderful reflection of the families and cultures that make up our MBCC community. We can’t wait to share this edition with our families. They will be available to purchase at the Showstopper Bake Sale next Saturday (27th June)!

One last little Big Bake Off bake for the week, for the tamariki here at MBCC, and it was Roti! Zakia and Palak have worked with the children this morning to create the dough and roll it out before Zakia fried it up in the kitchen. It’s been enjoyed already at morning kai time, and one of our little mates decided to get creative with his and roll his fruit into his… what a delicious idea!

Today a few of our tamariki began work with the clay to make pounamu inspired necklaces as part of our Matariki celebrations over the coming weeks. Our teacher Palak talked to the children about the different shapes and designs they could create for their necklaces and we learned about using slip and a scoring method to join pieces of clay together. 💚✨🌀💚

This month our children and teachers at MBCC are participating in the Big Bake Off to raise money for and so far we have raised over $500 for them! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated so far. We have been practicing our baking skills and are currently putting together our second MBCC Cook Book which will be heading off to the printers any day now!

On Saturday 27th June we are holding our Showstopper Bake Sale here at MBCC and we would love for our families, past and present, and wider community to come along to join us! Our bake sale will be open from 9am till 11am and will be held in our beautiful front garden (if the weather permits!). Our Cook Book will be available to purchase, as well as a variety of baked goods. All profits from the day will be donated to the Starship Foundation.

Three years ago we published our MBCC Cook Book 📖 and now we are so excited to publish its second edition with contributions from our current MBCC families as part of our participation in the 🍰during the month of June. Our little book worms thoroughly enjoyed the magical new reading nook today that our teachers have created. 💫 What a special and cosy
place to read with friends. 📚We also made book character decorations to hang on our little book nook tree. Be sure to check it out next time you're in if you haven't seen this new addition to our environment yet. 💚💚💚
