Room 38 is also growing in confidence and did a fantastic job performing dialogues from our 'Big Book' story at the Year 1 assembly.

Our Learning Snapshot 🌟
Room 23 has been busy with lots of exciting learning! 🎉

🔺 In maths, we explored different types of angles through creative angle art and worked together to solve three-digit multiplication and two-digit division problems.

🌺 To celebrate Samoan Language Week, we created beautiful tapa cloth artwork and learned about the importance of Samoan culture and traditions.

🏊‍♀️ Students have been enjoying swimming lessons, building their confidence and developing their swimming skills.

🚀 Through our inquiry learning, we have been exploring space! From creating rockets ready for blast off to investigating our solar system, students have shown great curiosity and imagination.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork shown by everyone. Ka pai, Room 23.! ⭐💙

Room 27 (Y6) were really lucky to visit the new Junior College yesterday. We loved having a guided tour from Mrs Booth, right up to the third level. What a great view! We also helped to test some new stools that the JC will have in the specalist classes. Lots of room 27 students are very excited to continue their schooling here next year and can't wait to be a year 7! They gave it a 10/10 :)

During our Maori, Myths and Legends Inquiry in Rooms 17, 18 and 19 we read and learnt about the Maui and the big fish story. We learnt that Maui caught the big fish with his jawbone hook. The classes painted korus on the waka and made paddles showing Maori patterns. We sat in the waka and pretended to paddle in the water.

Room 38 (Yr 1) has been enjoying learning about shadows as part of our investigation topic!
The children have enjoyed listening to stories about shadows and reflections during our Big Story Time and sharing their ideas and wonderings. They had lots of fun exploring and playing with their own shadows outdoors, noticing how they move and change.
To extend their learning, the children recalled their experiences and wrote their own sentences using the starter, "I like..." We were so proud of the creative ideas they shared!
We also took our learning outside to practise counting forwards and backwards while having fun on the playground.
It was lovely to see you all exploring, learning, writing, and playing together. Well done, Room 38!
