Last week in the Kiwi Room, our tamariki were busy exploring, creating, and learning through play! 🎨🌿

From making colourful collages and enjoying outdoor adventures to engaging in imaginative role play, sharing stories during reading time, and having lots of fun in the sandpit, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 📚☀️🏖️

These experiences supported creativity, communication, social connections, and a love of learning as our tamariki discovered, imagined, and played together. ✨

The Tui Room children enjoyed a wonderful time outdoors, engaging with loose parts play and exploring freely through hands-on experiences. As they played, they were developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and imagination - learning through open-ended discovery and joyful movement in the outdoor environment.

It was a great opportunity for them to connect with nature, each other, and the world around them through meaningful play. 🌱✨

Our babies have been busy outdoors, exploring, creating, and problem-solving as they worked together to build a colourful structure using large interlocking blocks. Through play, they are developing coordination, spatial awareness, confidence, and early teamwork skills - all while having fun in the fresh air.

It's wonderful to see their curiosity and creativity shining as they discover new ways to build, connect, and learn together. 💛

Last week, our tamariki immersed themselves in hands-on learning through construction, creativity, and outdoor discovery. From building imaginative creations and developing problem-solving skills to exploring nature with friends, every experience encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful connections.

Our Tui Room children enjoyed a wonderful day of outdoor play, painting, construction activities, and movement exercises. Through these engaging experiences, children are supported to develop creativity, coordination, problem-solving skills, and confidence - all while learning through play and exploration. 🌿🎨🧩💛

Strengthening little hands through play 💛

Our pēpi enjoyed exploring playdough and tools as they squeezed, pressed, rolled, and discovered new textures and movements. These simple yet meaningful sensory experiences help build fine motor skills, supporting the development of the small muscles needed for future everyday tasks and learning. ✨

From calming yoga sessions that supported mindfulness and movement, to confident show-and-tell moments where tamariki shared their ideas and interests, each activity encouraged communication, creativity, and connection.

The children also enjoyed expressing themselves through drawing and exploring their imagination and problem-solving skills during construction play. 💛

This week, our little Kiwis have loved exploring our refreshed animal corner - complete with lights, new resources, and plenty of opportunities for imaginative play and discovery. 🐾✨

Outside, there was just as much excitement, with tamariki enjoying soccer, running races, and a range of active outdoor games together. From creative exploration to energetic play, every day brings new ways to learn, move, and have fun. ⚽🌿
