Onehunga High School is a successful co-educational and multi-cultural school. We are also home to New Zealand's first secondary school based Business School.
Our success is built on a responsibly progressive approach to education, personalising academic excellence and strong partnerships with families, businesses and the wider community. In 2005 we opened our Building and Construction School with the support of several valued partners. The school offers the opportunity for students to undertake high value training on authentic Building and Construction projects. Many students are now working successfully in the industry.

Our two OHS Mixed Hockey teams took to the turf out east, splitting the results for both games.
OHS 6er's Black went down to top of the table Ormiston Senior 4-0, while OHS 6er's White got up 4-3 over Pakuranga College.

DORNIA SILUPE-ULUMANI – WAKA AWARD FOR LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE
A role model for her peers, Year 11 Dornia is known for her positive attitude, cultural pride, and contribution to school life.
Dornia is a highly deserving recipient of the Week 8 WAKA Award. She demonstrates excellence across school life through strong attendance, commitment to learning, and a focus on achieving her personal best. Setting high standards for herself, she also inspires others to do the same.
A natural leader, Dornia contributes positively to the school community with integrity, maturity, and a willingness to support others. Her talent as a performer has enriched many school events, where she proudly shares and celebrates her culture. Her leadership has already been recognised through the Prefects’ Aspiring Young Leader Award and the Junior Mana Māori Cup in Year 10, reflecting the respect she has earned from staff and students alike.
Dornia embodies the values of service, leadership, cultural pride, and excellence, making her a worthy WAKA Award recipient.
