Let's aim for a strong finish with no days missed and continue building positive attendance habits that support learning and achievement.
Thank you to all our whānau for your ongoing support throughout the term. Together we are helping our students to:

Matariki Hunga Nui - Tīhei Mauri Ora
Akomanga 15 - what a busy and rewarding week it has been in our classroom!
The tauira have worked hard preparing for our upcoming assembly, demonstrating leadership, courage and teamwork as they practised alongside our Buddy Class Room 4. We also had the privilege of welcoming a new student to our kura through a pōwhiri, providing an opportunity for our class to show manaakitanga and whanaungatanga while helping our newest junior member of Te Puna Waiora feel valued and included.
Alongside this, students have continued developing and refining their Pakirehua products, exploring their connections to Matariki, Te Whānau a Tamanuiterā, and the wider universe. It has been wonderful to see their creativity, curiosity, and growing understanding shine through their work.
A special acknowledgement to our Environmental Representatives for their leadership and commitment, and to the many other students whose positive contributions, teamwork, and willingness to help others have played an important role in supporting our class's progress and success moving forward.
With Matariki’s Hautapu event on the horizon, the future is certainly looking exciting.

Check out what has been happening in rūma tekau mā rua this week!
This week in Room 12, our tamariki have been busy working on their drawings for our upcoming inquiry game! We are in the publishing phase and everyone is putting in their absolute best effort. These drawings represent the stars of Matariki. For example, for the star Waitā, which connects to the ocean, students have made amazing drawings of food that can be found in there and have labelled in both English and te reo Māori. We can't wait to share, play, and celebrate our final project with other classrooms soon!

Check out what has been happening in rūma rua this week!
This week was a blast! We have been hopping along number lines solving “one more” and “one less” problems, zooming through counting by fives, like 5, 10, 15 ... We also started to learn to read words with four sounds, and design our special Matariki stars!

Ki o Rahi Showdown: Staff vs Students!
What an awesome game of Ki o Rahi! Our students have been working hard on their skills during PE lessons, learning the traditions, strategies, and teamwork that make this unique game so special.
Today, they got the chance to put those skills to the test against some very brave staff members!
The students showed incredible speed, skill, and game awareness, while the staff gave it their all with plenty of enthusiasm (and maybe a little bit of competitive spirit!).
It was fantastic to see everyone embracing the challenge, encouraging one another, and having fun together.
A huge ka pai to all of our students for their effort and sportsmanship, and thank you to the staff who stepped onto the field and joined in the fun!
