This morning Room 21 lead a VERY exciting assembly where we were treated to an amazing showcase of creativity and talent from our Art Enrichment students. The spectacular garments that were created for the TOI Wearable Arts show were shared with the whole school. A special thank you to Mr Meadows, Mrs Molloy, Mrs Mudford, Ms Bell and Mrs McKelvey for all their hard work and commitment over the last 2 terms!

Team Whakatōtanga had a wonderful finale to our I Am an Author Inquiry by attending Treasure Hunt, a literacy musical inspired by Aotearoa picture books. The story followed Jess and George as they set off on an adventure to find the missing Songs of the Sea and Forest. Along the way, they learned valuable lessons about friendship, teamwork, and caring for their shared world. The performance was filled with audience participation, fun, laughter, and important messages that connected beautifully with our learning.

This morning Room 22 went on an adventure to visit Little Moas day care. We love spending time with all these kids

This afternoon we were treated to musical magic! Our Year 5 - 8 Tironui students performed a number of fabulous pieces. A special thank you to Tim, Lena and Nathan our wonderful tutors and Rod the manager of Tironui Trust. We are sooo lucky to have this amazing opportunity in our school. Thank you to all the whanau that attended the concert today.

Last Wednesday night 18 of our students represented Stanhope Road School at the TOI wearable art competition. Over the last 2 terms these learners have worked hard to bring their stories and ideas to life. It was amazing to see these garments shine on stage. Out of the 9 garments that were at the show 4 won awards, 2 for Exceptional Story Telling and 2 for Excellent Garment Construction. We were also very proud to win the Star of Night award winning Regionals for Auckland. Well done to all our models and their design team! A huge thank you to Mr Meadows for helping these ideas and garments make it to the stage. And thank you to Mrs Mudford,Ms Bell,Mrs Molloy and Nichola McKelvey for your support.
