To wrap up our celebration of the Philippines' Independence, we enjoyed our lunch together and had lots of fun taking photos at our adorable "Pinoy Sorbetes" cart. 🥰

Our tamariki had an amazing time celebrating Philippine Independence Week! 🥰

We explored Filipino culture through a variety of engaging experiences. We learned Filipino words and greetings, played the traditional game Tumbang Preso, and discovered important Philippine symbols. Tamariki also enjoyed making graham balls, creating handprint flags, and producing artworks inspired by the national flower, national fruit, and the Sarimanok. We also listened to the folktale "Alamat ng Pinya", sang songs, and learned about the beautiful spirit of "bayanihan" shared by our kaiako.

🌺🇼🇸 Happy Samoan Language Week! 🇼🇸🌺

This week, our tamariki celebrated Samoan culture through siapo printmaking, making flower necklaces and crowns, Teuila artwork, and drawing beautiful island flowers. We learned Samoan greetings and expressions, enjoyed singing Samoan songs, and were delighted to share delicious Samoan food brought in by our half-Samoan twins.

Fa'afetai for helping us celebrate the language, culture, and traditions of Samoa! ❤️

Shared a lovely morning tea with wonderful grandmothers, mothers, and aunties. 🌸

Easter Funday 🪺🥚🐰

The tamariki had an amazing time enjoying outdoor Easter games, including an egg hunt, egg-and-spoon relay and egg blowing.

The week was also filled with fun indoor activities! They baked egg nest cupcakes, made Easter cookies, created Easter cards & paper plate bunnies, and learned about the true meaning of Easter. 🩷

Today was filled with colour, laughter, and creativity as tamariki enjoyed throwing colours, gently rubbing colours on faces and bodies, exploring colourful water play with ice blocks and ice balls, and creating beautiful straw-blown paintings. 🎨💙🧡💚💛💜🩷

We love hearing our whānau voice 💙 It was such a pleasure having a great-grandad, who was once a school teacher, spend 5 days with us. He shared how happy he was with everything he observed in our centre — the care, the learning, and the smiles. Moments like these truly remind us why we do what we do. Thank you for your wonderful feedback and support! 😊
