Our tamariki enjoy creating their own play experiences using a variety of resources throughout the environment. They follow their interests, explore new ideas, and discover different ways to play alongside their peers. Tamariki confidently engaging in experiences that reflect their interests and strengths. We can see curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and joy as children explore, learn, and grow together.

Itโ€™s always a pleasure to have our parents and aiga come in to support our learning journey! ๐Ÿ’™

Today, Eleitinoโ€™s parents shared a beautiful cultural experience with us, demonstrating how to scrape a coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ to make fresh coconut cream and how to weave plates and mats from coconut tree leaves.

To finish, we enjoyed delicious coconut and pawpaw served on the woven plates and mats โ€” all made from resources provided by our natural environment. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Faโ€™afetai tele lava to Eleitinoโ€™s family for sharing your knowledge, culture, and time with us!

Today was an exciting day for our tamaiti at Galaxy Childcare! ๐ŸŒบ

We were so blessed to have Maria and Fritz's Dad/Uncle Rudy come in and demonstrate how an umu is prepared and cookedโ€”the real island way of outdoor cooking! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿฅฅ

What an amazing experience for our children to witness this beautiful cultural tradition happening right before their eyes. Learning through hands-on experiences like this helps us celebrate and appreciate the rich cultures within our community.

Fa'afetai tele lava Rudy, for sharing your knowledge, time, and beautiful culture with us all. โค๏ธ

โœจ What a special day for our preschoolers! โœจ

Today, we were privileged to attend an amazing community event hosted by Falelalaga Cultural and Education Center. It was a wonderful opportunity for our tamaiti to learn, connect, and experience the richness of Samoan culture.

One of the most heartwarming moments was watching the Samoan elderly mothers and nanas (ao sinasina) engage with our tamaiti in traditional weaving, just as it is done in Samoa. The knowledge, patience, and love shared during this experience made it truly unforgettable.

A huge fa'afetai tele lava to Director Penina Ifopo for having us and creating such a meaningful learning experience for our children.

We learned so much, made beautiful memories, and had heaps of fun! ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒบ
