Children played “save the animals” activity. It was a pretend play about helping animals get out of the strap. Children showed huge interest in naming animals and their sounds. It was an interesting activity for them to see their favourite animals strapped and needed some help. Children were so happy and proud that they were able to rescue the animals. This supported children’s problem-solving skills and fine motor skills.🥰

💦 🧽 Sponge+Water= Soak + Squeeze and lots of fun 🤩 💦 🧽
Today, our little learners had a fantastic time participating in a sponge squeezing activity! This simple yet engaging exercise helped strengthen hand muscles, improve fine motor skills, and enhance hand-eye coordination.
The children eagerly transferred water from one container to another by squeezing sponges, developing concentration, patience, and control while having lots of fun. Activities like these provide valuable sensory experiences and support early learning through play.
It was wonderful to see their excitement, determination, and smiling faces throughout the activity! 🌟

Today, some of our preschoolers had the honour of visiting the local RSA Memorial to present an Appreciation Certificate and a donation of $51.10, raised through our ANZAC Day fundraising activities.
This meaningful experience provided an opportunity for our tamariki to learn about remembrance, gratitude, and service while strengthening their connection to the wider community.
Through this visit, our tamariki demonstrated the Māori values of manaakitanga (showing care, respect, and kindness towards others), whanaungatanga (building relationships and a sense of belonging within our community), and kotahitanga (working together for a shared purpose). By contributing to the RSA, they learned that even small acts of generosity can make a positive difference and help honour those who have served our country.
We are incredibly proud of our tamariki for representing our centre with confidence and respect. A heartfelt thank you to all the whānau who supported our ANZAC Day fundraiser and helped make this contribution possible.
Together, we are nurturing children who value community, respect, and responsibility.
