Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who attended our ʻAva Ceremony and Talanoa on Pasifika Culture in Engineering last week.

It was special to come together to celebrate Samoan Language Week and Samoa’s Independence Day, honour our culture, and share meaningful talanoa about words that guide our engineering journey as Māori and Pasifika.

A highlight was seeing many of our members take on roles in the ‘ava ceremony, with some getting to practise and connect with their culture in this way for the first time.
