Puhinui School

Last week we had the privilege of the Auckland Philharmonia All Star Rhythm and Blues R***e band come to share their talents with us! One of the members is Tim who does an awesome job conducting our Year 5 and 6 bands.
These musicians were super talented and we had a great time watching and joining their performance.

Reminder: Tomorrow is our Jammies for June fundraiser. Student can wear their pyjamas and bring a gold coin donation to support this cause.

At Puhinui School we are supporting Jammies for June. Anyone wanting to donate pyjamas to this awesome cause, here are some details:

What can be donated.
- New jammies( kids sizes 0-16)
- New kids socks (any kid sizes)
- Blankets (all must be new).

Where to donate:
Please drop off any donations to the office and that our House Leaders can take them to Middlemore Hospital at the end of June.

Tomorrow is Netball, Soccer and restricted Rugby Zones. Thursday is over 50's Rugby and Girls Rugby. Here are the draws for tomorrow's zones tournament at Bruce Pullman Park. Please note that the draws are subject to change. GO PUHINUI!!!

Here are some photos from the native planting our amazing gardening club did.
The students worked together laying out out new plants, digging holes, holding the plants & assessing if the depth is correct, filling the hole and firming the soil around it.
This was a really cool project for our tamariki and we can't wait to see these grow. 🌿🌱🪴

We are looking forward to celebrating Samoan Language week this week at Puhinui School! 🇼🇸

Reminder tomorrow school will be closed for the annual Kings Birthday public holiday. School will resume at the regular time of 8:50am on Tuesday 2nd June.

We have had a lot of excitement with our 2 new classes arriving on Friday! These new rooms arrived on the back of trucks and were lifted by the crane to their new home at Puhinui School. 👷‍♂️🏗️🏫

Tomorrow our two new classroooms are being delivered.
This means the car parking area on Grayson Avenue will be closed for the whole day.
The drop off zone will still be operational to drop your child but there will be no parking.
We recommend allowing extra time for drop off.
