🌋Remembering Mount Pinatubo Eruption: 35 Years of Resilience and Hope 💚

On June 15, 2026, we commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the Mount Pinatubo Eruption, a defining moment in the history of Pampanga and the neighboring provinces of Central Luzon.

Thirty-five years ago, the eruption of Mount Pinatubo transformed landscapes, displaced communities, and tested the strength of countless families. Yet amid the challenges and hardships emerged a remarkable story of courage, unity, and resilience. The Kapampangan spirit endured which continues to inspire future generations.

As we observe Pinatubo Day, let us honor the lives affected by the eruption, remember the lessons learned from this historic event, and celebrate the unwavering determination of our people to rise above adversity.

At Jocson College, we join the Province of Pampanga in paying tribute to the resilience, strength, and hope that define the Kapampangan community. May this commemoration remind us that even after the darkest moments, we can rebuild, recover, and grow stronger together.

🇵🇭 Philippine Independence Day
In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, there will be no classes and office operations on June 12, 2026 (Friday) in observance of the national holiday.

🌋 Pinatubo Day
Classes and office operations will likewise be suspended on June 15, 2026 (Monday) in observance of Pinatubo Day, a special non-working holiday in the Province of Pampanga, honoring the resilience and strength of Kapampangans.

Let us take this opportunity to reflect on our nation's freedom and commemorate the enduring spirit of our community.

Classes and office operations will resume on June 16, 2026 (Tuesday).

On Monday morning, our Basic Education students gathered for APERTURA 2026 — a short but meaningful welcome program to start the school year!

Highlights:
Opening Remarks by our Principal, Ms. Aurora Salazar, who reminded everyone to “Start them right” with courage, respect, and excellence.
Meet the Team - Teachers and support staff of the Basic Education Department were introduced. First smiles, first hellos!
Classroom Orientations - Advisers led students to their rooms for get-to-know activities, classroom rules, and goal-setting
Club Recruitment - After lunch, the campus became busy once again as students explored clubs and organizations to find their new home outside the classroom.
From shy first steps at the gate to full-on smiles by dismissal — Day 1 was full of energy, new friendships, and Jocsonian spirit
