The Chevalier School, Inc. (CS) community is in mourning following the passing of Rev. Fr. Archimedes D. Tapang, MSC, who peacefully returned to his Creator on June 11, 2026. A beloved figure in the institution's history, Fr. Archie, as he was fondly called, dedicated more than 15 years of his life to the CS community.

Fr. Archie first joined the CS community in 2005, serving as Vice Rector until 2006 before becoming the School Rector, a position he held with distinction until 2020. During his tenure, he became a steadfast spiritual anchor for students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike, guiding the institution through years of growth.

In keeping with his final wish, Fr. Archie's remains were transferred from Manila to CS Chapel on Tuesday, June 16, accompanied by his family and loved ones. Rev. Fr. Ronie Botona, MSC, presided the liturgical rite of reception of his remains, together with the CS community.

His remains will lie in state at the school chapel until June 17, allowing members of the community to pay their respects and offer prayers. A Funeral Mass will be offered on June 18 at 12:30 p.m.

Though Fr. Archie has completed his earthly journey, the seeds he planted of faith, compassion, and excellence continue to take root in the hearts of every Caballero and Fair Lady.

The CS community requests prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Rev. Fr. Archimedes D. Tapang, MSC.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | We kicked off the first day of this school year with a flag ceremony, welcoming students and introducing educators, non teaching staff, and administrators as everybody gathered in the Fr. Henry Groenewegen Gymnasium.

While not just preparing the new year, we also ready ourselves for the circumstances soon to come. This is only the beginning of many memories to be made, so we make sure to face what's coming with a positive mindset.

Leaving the nest is never about the flight; it's about having the courage to let go of the branch that has held us for so long. We've spent years growing, learning, and finding our wings alongside one another. Now, the horizon is calling, and it's finally time to see how high we can soar.
