On June 13, 2026, former Center for Kapampangan Studies Director Mr. Robby Tantingco returned to CKS not in his former role, but as a visitor, where he gave a brief tour to his balikbayan sister, along with other family members and friends. He personally guided them around the Main Building Museum, revisiting familiar places filled with meaningful memories. After Sir Robby’s tour, it was followed by our student aide, who served as their tour guide and poet, leading them to other museums within the campus and continuing the visit with insightful narration and creative storytelling.
The museums are open for walk-ins every Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m (Summer). Our student assistants await your visit.

Today, the nation observes the 35th Anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption, a profoundly defining chapter in the history of the Philippines.
In a message delivered at Holy Angel University in Angeles City, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reflected on the lasting impact of the 1991 tragedy. The President emphasized that while the eruption fundamentally altered landscapes and displaced communities, it also served as a vital catalyst, awakening the country to the critical necessity of disaster readiness and proactive resilience.
As we commemorate this solemn occasion, we honor the fortitude of the affected communities who successfully rebuilt their lives. Let their enduring strength serve as a reminder of our collective duty to remain steadfast and prepared in the face of natural adversities.

The Center for Kapampangan Studies successfully concluded the first day of the Pinatubo Conference with a Mini Cultural Show and Dinner, honoring the delegates and speakers who participated in the day’s proceedings. The evening served as a vibrant showcase of Kapampangan artistry, featuring a series of distinguished performances by the HAU Rondalla and the HAU Strings Ensemble. The program further highlighted the region’s rich literary and musical traditions with presentations from Poet Laureate Francisco Guinto, Poet Laureate Alvin Ignacio (also known as Bertung Isponga), former CKS staff member Melissa Mae Angara, and CKS Multimedia Coordinator Leonardo Calma.
We extend our deepest appreciation to the Angeles City Mayor’s Office for their generous sponsorship of the evening’s dinner. Their continued partnership and support remain vital in our collective efforts to promote and preserve local heritage.
