On June 19, 1861, JosΓ© Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna. Through his writings, intellect, and unwavering commitment to peaceful reform, he would later become one of the most influential figures in Philippine history.

Rizal believed that education was a powerful tool for transforming society. His life reminds us that true change begins with knowledge, critical thinking, and the courage to stand for what is rightβ€”even in the face of adversity.

More than a historical figure, Rizal's legacy continues to inspire generations of Filipinos to love their country, value learning, and use their talents in service of others. His story teaches us that words can awaken minds, ideas can inspire movements, and one person can make a lasting impact on a nation.

As students and lifelong learners, may we carry forward the same passion for knowledge, integrity, and service that Rizal exemplified throughout his life.

With grateful hearts and renewed enthusiasm, we warmly welcome everyone to the opening of School Year 2026–2027 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. As we begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and discovery, we look forward to partnering with our learners and families in nurturing academic excellence, strong values, and lifelong skills.
The school shall implement five (5) days of face-to-face classes weekly to ensure meaningful classroom engagement and quality learning experiences.

To complement in-person instruction, Moodle shall continue to serve as our official online learning platform for asynchronous activities, enrichment tasks, and assessments. This shall also be our platform for learning continuity during periods when face-to-face classes may be suspended due to weather disturbances, emergencies, or other authorized reasons.

For KINDERGARTEN AND WKLC LEARNERS:
Parents who will accompany their children up to the door of their classrooms to help them settle in are kindly requested to leave immediately afterward to maintain safety, order, and smooth school operations.

In line with the Department of Education's commitment to improving learning outcomes and protecting instructional time, the school shall comply with DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026, which mandates the transition of Philippine Basic Education to a Three-Term School Calendar. This shift organizes the academic year into three structured instructional terms, enabling better pacing of lessons, more focused assessment periods, and enhanced learning opportunities without extending the overall length of the school year.

Peace is not found in the absence of challenges, but in walking faithfully according to God's will.

Isaiah reminds us that when we listen to God's guidance and live according to His commandments, we are led toward a life marked by peace, purpose, and righteousness. Like a river that flows steadily and waves that never cease, God's blessings continue to sustain those who trust and follow Him.

May we seek His wisdom each day and allow His Word to guide our thoughts, choices, and actions.

Today, we commemorate the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipinos who fought for our nation's freedom and declared independence on June 12, 1898.

As we celebrate this historic day, may we remember that freedom was earned through the determination and unity of those who came before us. Their legacy challenges us to become responsible citizens, uphold what is right, and contribute positively to our communities and our country.

At RGSMC, we believe that education plays an important role in shaping young Filipinos who are not only academically prepared but also guided by values, character, and love for country. πŸ’›

May this Independence Day inspire us to honor our heritage, appreciate our freedoms, and continue building a brighter future for the Philippines.
