LOOK: Benilde Antipolo Joins the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026
On June 18, 2026, Benilde Antipolo community actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026, reinforcing the institution's commitment to campus safety, disaster preparedness, and the well-being of its students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
As the emergency signal sounded, members of the Benilde Antipolo community immediately practiced the life-saving "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure, demonstrating awareness and readiness in the event of a real earthquake. Participants calmly proceeded to the designated evacuation areas while adhering to established safety protocols and evacuation routes.
The drill served as an opportunity to assess the campus' emergency response procedures, communication systems, and evacuation readiness. Through coordinated efforts of the General Administrative Services Office (GASO), faculty, associates, and partners from Barangay San Jose, the exercise highlighted the importance of remaining alert, disciplined, and prepared during emergencies.
The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is a government-led initiative that aims to strengthen disaster preparedness, promote public awareness, and develop appropriate responses during seismic events. Regular participation in these drills helps instill the correct actions and natural response mechanisms needed to minimize risks and protect lives during actual emergencies.
Benilde Antipolo remains steadfast in fostering a culture of safety and resilience. By participating in initiatives such as the NSED, the institution continues to empower its community with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to respond effectively during disasters.

Our thoughts are with the communities in Mindanao that were recently affected by the earthquake. Events like these remind us of the importance of staying informed, prepared, and ready to respond during emergencies.
Tomorrow, June 18, 2026, communities across the country will participate in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)โa collective effort to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety and resilience.
As part of this nationwide initiative, the Benilde Antipolo community will take part in the drill to practice proper emergency response procedures and reinforce the life-saving importance of the Duck, Cover, and Hold protocol during seismic events.
While we hope never to face such situations, preparedness empowers us to protect ourselves and those around us when every second counts.
