On June 17, 2026, Pampanga State University and the Philippine Red Cross Pampanga Chapter formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the University Library, establishing a partnership for the implementation of Mobile Blood Donation Program. The signing ceremony marked a significant step toward promoting voluntary blood donation and strengthening community engagement through collaborative initiatives.
The event aims to foster a sustainable partnership between the university and the Philippine Red Cross in supporting lifesaving blood donation programs. Through this collaboration, both institutions seek to encourage social responsibility, enhance community health services, and contribute to the continuous availability of safe blood for those in need.
Present during the ceremony were representatives from the University Extension Services Office: Ms. Eloisa Mendoza, Ms. Ma. Ferdelyn Coutinho, Mr. Dean B. Lapuz, and Mr. Aaron S. Malonzo; from the Office of Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHO): Ms. Rhiziel P. Manalese; and from the Philippine Red Cross Pampanga: Ms. Rowena M. Flores, Ms. Kimberly C. Bondoc, and Mr. Arnold Hizon. Their presence reflects their dedication and shared commitment to delivering meaningful extension programs and serving the community through collaborative public service initiatives.
This partnership is expected to provide greater opportunities for students, employees, and community members to participate in regular blood donation activities. Beyond helping save lives, the project promotes volunteerism, civic engagement, and a culture of compassion, while strengthening the universityโs role in advancing community welfare and public health.

PROJECT WRITE Batch 2 Continues to Strengthen Research Capability of DSWD Personnel through Extension Services
The College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, through PROJECT WRITE: Research Capability Program, successfully conducted its 3rd and 4th sessions for the participants from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
On June 2, 2026, participants attended the session on Review of Related Literature and Studies, facilitated by Mr. Edward Christian G. Soriano. The discussion focused on identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing scholarly sources to establish strong theoretical and empirical foundations for their research. The session was followed by mentoring and consultation activities, where the 21 beneficiaries presented their research outputs to their assigned mentors. As of this session, the participants had developed 11 individual research proposals and 4 group research projects.
Meanwhile, on June 9, 2026, Mr. Jervis Gail Gonzales facilitated the session on Research Methodology, guiding participants on research design, sampling procedures, research instruments, data gathering procedures, ethical considerations, and data analysis. The lecture was complemented by consultation sessions with the mentoring team, providing participants with valuable feedback to further strengthen their research proposals.
Through continuous learning, mentoring, and collaboration, PROJECT WRITE remains committed to enhancing the research competencies of DSWD personnel and promoting evidence-based practice in social welfare and community development.

๐ข Strengthening Disaster Resilience Through Partnership
The Pampanga State University , through its Extension Services Office headed by Dir. Rhoderick Favorito and Occupational Safety and Health Office (OSHO), and the Municipality of Bacolor through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Mr. Joel Samia (MDRRMO), have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the implementation of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Exchange Project (DRRMโโXโ Change Project).
This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in the areas of disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) through the exchange of expertise, resources, facilities, and best practices. The initiative focuses on:

Joint DRRM activities and community engagement

Sharing of technical resources, facilities, and expertise

Development of disaster preparedness and resilience programs

Support for safer and more resilient communities
