We thank the Lord for another fruitful evening in our Doctrine of Man course at CTMI.
For our Week 2 session, we reflected on two important truths: man as created in the image of God, and man’s original covenantal relationship with God through the covenant of works.
These doctrines help us see both the dignity and seriousness of human life. We are not accidents or merely biological creatures—we are created by God and for God's glory.
At the same time, our study of the Covenant of Works reminds us of man's fall into sin and the need for a faithful covenant head. In Adam, humanity fell. But in Christ, the last Adam, God provides the perfect obedience and redemption that sinners need.
May these truths continue to shape our understanding of humanity, sin, grace, and the glory of Christ.

Praise God for a fruitful Week 2 session of our "Expository Preaching" course at CTMI!
Tonight, we continued our study by reflecting on contextual considerations, audience awareness, and how to carefully consider the biblical passage we are preaching.
We were reminded that faithful preaching does not treat Scripture as disconnected verses, but seeks to understand the text in its original context, discern the author’s purpose, and proclaim its message to real people with real needs, struggles, and questions.
We also reflected on the importance of seeing every passage in light of God’s redemptive work, asking how the text reveals God, exposes the human condition, and ultimately points us to Christ.
May the Lord continue to train us to handle His Word faithfully, preach with clarity, and serve His church with pastoral wisdom.

Praise God for the completion of our Week 1 session for the Doctrine of Man course at CTMI!
Tonight, we reflected on the biblical truth that man has dignity, value, and significance because he is created in the image of God. We also studied the nature of man as both body and soul, reminding us that human beings are not merely physical creatures, but persons created to know, worship, and live before God.
May the Lord continue to deepen our understanding of His Word and shape the way we see ourselves, others, and our need for Christ.

Praise God for a fruitful Week 1 session of our Expository Preaching course at CTMI!
Tonight, we studied the general principles of expository preaching and reflected on the life of the preacher.
We were reminded that expository preaching is not merely using a Bible text as a starting point, but faithfully opening what the text says, means, and implies—so that God’s Word is clearly proclaimed and applied to the lives of real people.
We also reflected on the sobering truth that the preacher’s life matters. The one who proclaims the Word must also be shaped by the Word—walking in holiness, depending on the Holy Spirit, and living with integrity before God and His people.
May the Lord continue to equip us to handle His Word faithfully, preach Christ clearly, and serve His church humbly.
