Hillside National High School- DepEd Tayo 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 is a public school located in Baguio City, offering Junior High School education for Grades 7-10 only, supervised by 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐞-𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐋. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 as the School Head.

"In every ending, there's a new beginning". Wishing a heartfelt send-off to Sir Erwin Robert D. Allaga, who has served as our school head for 1 year and 8 months, while warmly welcoming our new School Head, Sir Benjie-Melchor L. Nicolas, effective today, October 14, 2024 with enthusiasm and open hearts.

The send-off and welcome program was graced by the presence of the HNHS Faculty and Staff, Learners, representatives of the SPTA Officers, Brgy. Captain Hon. Allan F. Bandoy, PSDSes Sir Rey D. Gapasin and Sir Santiago L. Bugtong, along with SGOD EPS Sir Jerry C. Ymson.

HNHS looks forward to the opportunities that the future holds. Again, welcome to Hillside NHS Sir Benjie😊.

ADVISORY

28 April 2024 - In view of the latest heat index forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the announcement of a nationwide transport strike, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on April 29 and 30, 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their respective stations.

However, activities organized by Regional and Schools Division Offices, such as Regional Athletic Association Meets and other division or school level programs, to be conducted on the aforementioned dates may push through as scheduled, provided that measures for the safety of all participants have been carefully considered.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

Unannounced Earthquake Drill

HNHS conducted this month's unannounced earthquake drill as mandated by DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2022. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and these drills help ensure that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
Remember, being prepared saves lives!

Classes in all levels, both public and private schools on February 13, 2024 are suspended from 12 noon onwards to pave way for the 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year Grand Colorful Parade.

Bilang paghahanda sa pagbubukas ng SY 2024-2025, ang HNHS ay nagsasagawa na ng Early Registration para sa mga GRADE 7, BALIK-ARAL, at TRANSFEREE.

Inaanyayahan ang mga magulang o guardian na pumunta sa paaralan upang magpalista at sumagot ng Enrolment Form.

Mga dokumento na kailangang dalhin at ibigay sa Early Registration:

▪️Kung walang PSA Birth Certificate

BAKIT HOLIDAY ANG SEPTEMBER 13 SA CORDILLERA?
Malacañan declared Wednesday, September 13, 2023 as a special non-working holiday in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in celebration of the 37th anniversary of the historic Mount Data ‘sipat’ peace accord between the Philippine government and the Cordillera Bodong Administration–Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CBA-CPLA).

On September 13, 1986, former President Corazon C. Aquino and high-ranking leaders of the national government met with the representatives of the CBA-CPLA headed by the late rebel priest Conrado Balweg for the so called ‘sipat’ or the exchange of peace tokens towards secession of armed hostilities between the government forces and the armed group and to acknowledge the group’s aspiration for autonomy.

During the historic event, the CBA-CPLA turned over to the former President a spear and a shield while the latter gave to the group a Bible, a rosary and an Armalite rifle to signal the formal secession of hostilities as part of the realization of lasting peace in the region.

The agreement opened the doors for negotiation that led to the issuance of Executive Order No. 220 on July 15, 1987, creating the Cordillera Administrative Region. -JMPS, Dana Graciella Abuyuan
