Last May 5, 2026, swift action and compassion made a difference at the O-Shape Overpass in Baguio City, where police officers and emergency responders immediately attended to a man experiencing a seizure. Alongside the responders, Louisian student nurses were also present and assisted during the incident, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and genuine concern for the community. While crossing the overpass, the group witnessed the man suddenly collapse and experience an active seizure. Without hesitation, they responded by placing him in a side-lying position, protecting his head, timing the seizure, and calling for help. Together with the responding police officers and EMS personnel, they gathered a brief health history, properly endorsed the patient upon the ambulance’s arrival, and assisted in transporting him safely to the ambulance.
