60 YEARS OF LEGACY AND GIVING BACK: BAGUIO TECH HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1966 CELEBRATES DIAMOND REUNION AT UBđź’Ž

On May 29, 2026, the Baguio Tech High School Class of 1966 held their 60th Anniversary Reunion at the University of Baguio from 8:00 to 11:00 AM.

Guided by the theme “60 Years and counting, in the deeply rooted UB’s Culture of Excellence, Camaraderie, Caring and Sharing,” the event stands as both a significant milestone in the preservation of enduring friendships and a concrete affirmation of the batch’s sustained commitment to service and gratitude toward their alma mater.

A key highlight of the celebration was the turnover of a ₱20,000 donation to UBAFI for the Tuition and Other Fees Subsidy (TOFS) Program. This contribution will directly support a deserving University of Baguio High School student, helping ease the financial burden of education and opening doors to a brighter future.

Engr. Eleazer Demayo highlighted the imperative of giving back to the institution that played a formative role in the lives of the alumni, stressing the necessity of sustained outreach and extension initiatives. The TOFS program continues to serve as an essential mechanism for supporting deserving students in the completion of their studies and the realization of their aspirations.

Thirteen alumni from Baguio Tech High School Batch ’66 attended the celebration, led by Batch Coordinator Ms. Mila Densen. Also in attendance were Principal Dr. Violeta F. Apiles, Assistant Principals Ms. Jubilyn G. Kiing and Ms. Rowena W. Servero, and UBHS SARC Mr. Jay-r P. Daguyen.

The program also included a purposeful campus tour, during which the alumni revisited significant landmarks that embody the institution’s legacy. These sites included the legacy building that succeeded the original high school structure, the iconic Victory Bell, and the Centennial Building, which houses the memorabilia room dedicated to Dr. “Tatay” and “Nanay” and preserves the comprehensive history of the University of Baguio.

The celebration transcended a mere reunion, serving as a living testament to six decades of shared experiences, enduring friendships, and a lifelong bond fortified by the University of Baguio’s culture of excellence, camaraderie, caring, and sharing.

The batch remains committed to sustaining and strengthening their connection in the years to come.
