Sa paggunita sa ika-128 anibersaryo ng kasarinlan ng ating bansa, muli nating pinagtitibay ang katotohanang ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay nananahan sa taumbayan. Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay hindi lamang isang pamanang dapat ipagdiwang, kundi isang patuloy na hamon na humingi ng isang lipunang ligtas sa sistematikong di-pagkakapantay-pantay, protektado laban sa disimpormasyon, at bukas sa makabuluhang diskurso para sa kinabukasan ng lahat.

Dala ang aral at tapang mula sa mga unang manunulat at lider-estudyante ng ating kasaysayan, tungkulin nating buwagin ang kawalang-bahala upang malabanan ang mga hadlang na nagpapatahimik sa boses ng publiko. Paalala nawa ang araw na ito na isulong ang integridad, panatilihing mapanagutan ang mga institusyon, at ipagtanggol ang boses ng mamamayan upang maging buhay na realidad ang mga pangako ng ating kasaysayan.

Last May 29, 2026, PSC CARES 3.0 was held in Barangay San Jose Sico, Batangas City as part of its continuing initiative to promote community legal awareness and strengthen capacity-building efforts on Anti-VAWC.

The program brought together participants for an engaging and meaningful discussion on violence against women and children, emphasizing their rights, available legal protections, and the importance of community-based response and support systems. The sessions were facilitated by Atty. Ganiela Kathleen M. Catapia from the City Legal Office, alongside PLT Nena P. Garcia of the Philippine National Police – Women and Children Protection Desk, who both provided valuable insights grounded in law enforcement and legal practice. This was followed by an interactive activity that encouraged participants to reflect, share, and actively take part in understanding their role in building safer communities.

The program was carried out through the dedicated efforts of the PSC Officers, led by PSC President Jejomar Ivan Maranan and PSC Secretary Wendy Diane Perez, with the full support and guidance of PSC adviser and faculty, Dr. Mary Ann Macatangay and Sir Isaac Navarro.

The University of Batangas Political Science Circle (UB PSC) successfully conducted the PSC CARES 2.0: Aral Summer Program 2026 Donation Drive last May 11, 2026, for the learners of Niño Jesus Elementary School in Sitio Papayahan, Santo Niño, Batangas City.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the PSC members, together with the generous personal donation of one of the organization’s advisers, Dr. Mary-Ann B. Macatangay, who donated one stand fan, while the PSC donated two wall fans. These donations aim to provide a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for the students, especially during the warm season.

Through this simple yet meaningful effort, the organization demonstrated its commitment to community service and social responsibility. The activity serves as a reminder that practical contributions can create a positive and lasting impact on the daily lives of learners.

The Political Science Circle continues to promote initiatives that encourage student involvement, compassion, and meaningful engagement with the community.

𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃, 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃

The University of Batangas Political Science Circle (UB PSC) held its Second General Assembly for A.Y. 2025–2026 last May 7, 2026 at the Center for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. Guided by the theme “𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝: 𝐀 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲,” the assembly became a meaningful space for reflection, recognition, and renewal.

The program highlighted the organization’s vision, celebrated the accomplishments of its members, and acknowledged the dedication that contributed to a productive and meaningful year. It also served as a turning point for leadership, as new officers for S.Y. 2026–2027 were nominated and elected—marking the beginning of a new chapter of service and responsibility.

UB PSC extends its appreciation to all Political Science students who showed up for our assembly. To everyone who joined, we truly appreciate your voice, your presence, and your dedication to service. We’re excited to move forward together toward a future of empowered leadership.

Isang hakbang tungo sa mas makatao at makabuluhang paggunita ng Araw ng mga Manggagawa.

‘𝐃𝐢 𝐏𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐔𝐧𝐨!

Ngayong Labor Day, kaisa ang Political Science Circle (PSC) ng University of Batangas sa pagbibigay-pugay sa bawat manggagawang Pilipino na patuloy na naglilingkod at nagsasakripisyo para sa bayan.

Sa kabila ng iba’t ibang suliranin, pangyayari, at pagtaas ng mga pangunahing bilihin, lalo na ang langis. Nanatiling matatag ang ating mga tsuper, magsasaka, at iba pang sektor ng mga manggagawang Pilipino. Ito ay patunay na ang kanilang dedikasyon, malasakit, at pagmamahal sa kapwa, lalo na sa bayan, ay walang kapantay.

Ang araw na ito ay hindi lamang basta selebrasyon o pag-alala, kundi isang taos-pusong pasasalamat. Sa bawat pagod at sakripisyong kanilang iniaalay, patuloy nilang hinuhubog at itinataguyod ang kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Walang pag-unlad kung walang manggagawa.
