Today, we remember the birthday of the late Shihan Amado Abao, a father, a coach, and a college instructor. JKA COC/CDO is very much grateful for all of your works and contributions in the field of karate in Cagayan de Oro, in Northern Mindanao, and in Japan Karate Association and in the Philippines.

In JKA NKKPI COC/CDO, we value academic excellence and keep on reminding our members that they are students first before taking the responsibilities of an athlete; this is why it is called “student-athlete”. Today, JKA Nihon Karate Kyokai Philippines Inc. - COC/CDO and the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice recognize the hard work, perseverance, and commitment of Frank in maintaining his good academic performance from his 1st year in college to 4th year as a criminology student and in his karate career by winning local and national/international karate tournaments since 2022. Frank also proved that karate plays a great role in personal development, not just in physical aspects but training every individual holistically.
