Today, we join the entire nation in celebrating the freedom, bravery, and rich heritage of the Philippines.

When we look back at our history, we remember that our heroes fought for our country in many different ways. While some took up arms, our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, chose a different weapon: the power of the pen. By writing his novels and producing books, he awakened the heart of a nation and sparked a movement that changed our history forever.

Because of the sacrifices of Rizal and countless other heroes, we are able to enjoy the freedom we have today.

Rizal famously said that "the youth is the hope of our nation." Here at Montessori de Oro . we see that hope in our students every single day.
