šŸ“£ ANIHAN AND GT FOUNDATION SCHOLARS MEET AND GREET!

We welcomed the representatives of GT (George Ty) Foundation last June 11, 2026, Thursday, for a whole day activity with their Anihan scholars from Vanilla section of the Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services (CARS) program.

The day began with an inspiring Opening Remarks given by Anihan School Director, Ms. Aileen Clutario, setting a positive and encouraging tone for the activities of the entire day.

To foster camaraderie among the scholars, participants engaged in the ā€œGT-ing to Know Youā€ icebreaker activities, including Raise Your Flag and ID Exchange, which provided opportunities to get acquainted and build new connections.

During the ā€œI Have a Dreamā€ session, scholars participated in meaningful discussions and sharing, reflecting on their dreams, aspirations, and future goals.

The scholars also learned more about Dr. George S.K. Ty and the GT Foundation, gaining insights into Dr. Ty’s life, values, and contributions, as well as the Foundation’s mission and programs. This was followed by the Blank Check Activity, where participants identified individuals they believe are deserving of support and assigned an amount they would like to give, encouraging reflection on generosity, gratitude, and their own aspirations for the future.
The afternoon session featured ā€œBreaking the Cycle of Poverty: A Financial Empowerment Module for GTFI Scholars,ā€ which highlighted the importance of financial literacy, responsible money management, budgeting, saving habits, and practical strategies for achieving financial stability.

The program concluded with ā€œ3Gs: Growing in God’s Grace,ā€ a discussion and sharing session that encouraged spiritual growth, faith formation, gratitude, and living according to Christian values.
All in all, it was a fun and jampacked day full of learning and insights, thanks to our friends from GT Foundation! 🄰

ANIHAN TECHNICAL SCHOOL CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF HARVESTING DREAMS, HONORING LEGACY OF SKILLS EDUCATION

Anihan Technical School marked a major milestone as it celebrated its 40th Foundation Anniversary through a benefit lunch and thanksgiving gathering dubbed ā€œAnihan @40: A Milestone of Harvesting Dreamsā€ held on June 7, 2026, at The Palms Country Club.

The celebration brought together school administrators, faculty members, alumni, scholars, industry partners, and guests to commemorate four decades of providing quality technical-vocational education and empowering Filipinos through skills development and workforce readiness.

Established under the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI), Anihan Technical School has spent the last 40 years equipping learners with industry-relevant competencies while creating pathways toward meaningful employment and career advancement.

The program formally opened with the musical invocation, ā€œIl Signore,ā€ by renowned composer and National Artist Mr. Ryan Cayabyab, setting a reflective tone for the anniversary celebration.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Ms. Aileen Clutario, School Director of Anihan Technical School, who highlighted the institution’s enduring mission of transforming lives through education and skills training. The opening program also featured musical and dance performances by Anihan scholars.

Representing FPTI, Ms. Imelda Nibungco delivered a message emphasizing the foundation’s continuing commitment to professional training, workforce development, and inclusive opportunities for Filipino learners.

One of the highlights of the event was the Thanksgiving Chat, which featured distinguished speakers from the education, hospitality, and business sectors. Panelists included Ms. Charlene Ching, President of FPTI; Ms. Marites Caballero, Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Laguna; Mr. Lorenzo EspaƱola, Marketing Manager of Dean & Deluca; Ms. Angelica Gianan, Senior Human Resource Manager of Wildflour Hospitality Group; and Chef Lealyn Malagamba, an Anihan graduate and Head Chef of Black Pig and Wonderfull Kitchen.

The discussion centered on workforce development, industry partnerships, career opportunities, and the vital role of technical education in meeting the evolving needs of employers.

The luncheon program also featured special musical performances by guest artist Ms. Calina Lucille Mateo and an inspirational message from Rev. Fr. Jose Gerardo ā€œGerryā€ Quejada, Anihan Technical School’s first chaplain.
Current and former scholars likewise took center stage through performances and personal testimonies that reflected the school's lasting impact on their lives and careers. Among those featured were current Anihan scholar Sheila Mae Ortiz and Anihan graduate Jayvee Ortega-Choi.
The celebration further included the presentation of appreciation tokens, video greetings from alumni and industry partners, and the screening of the commemorative video ā€œAnihan @40 Benefit Lunch and Thanksgiving.ā€

Serving as host throughout the program was Ms. Christine Jacob-Sandejas, who guided guests through the afternoon’s activities and ensured the smooth flow of the milestone event.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Maria Senen L. Olmos, Vice Director for Industry Linkage and Alumni Affairs, expressed gratitude to the institution’s partners, supporters, alumni, faculty members, and scholars whose contributions helped shape Anihan’s legacy over the past four decades.
As Anihan Technical School enters its fifth decade, the institution remains committed to nurturing future generations of skilled professionals while continuing its mission of harvesting dreams and creating opportunities for Filipino learners.

For 40 years, Anihan Technical School has remained steadfast in its vision of empowering lives through education, skills development, and industry-driven training—proving that every dream, when nurtured, can grow into a meaningful future.
