MHCC’s Immediate Response: Strengthening Safety and Security for Every Batang Mary Help

The safety, protection, and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. In response to recent concerns, MHCC has immediately strengthened its security and safety measures to ensure a more secure and supportive environment for every Batang Mary Help. We have intensified security screening at all entry and exit points, reinforced visitor verification procedures, increased campus monitoring, and strengthened coordination among administrators, teachers, discipline personnel, and security staff. These proactive measures are in place to protect our BMH and personnel, and ensure that proper preventive processes are consistently observed.

These measures are not intended to create fear but to strengthen awareness, preparedness, responsibility, and care for one another. Together, we continue forming Good Christians and Honest Citizens in a peaceful, secure, and supportive learning environment.

At Mary Help of Christians College, the safety, protection, and holistic development of every Batang Mary Help remain our highest priority. Guided by the Salesian Preventive System of our founders, St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello, and our mission of forming good Christians and honest citizens, we continue to strengthen our efforts in creating a safe, caring, and family-centered learning environment.

Through enhanced security measures, mental health and anti-bullying programs, stronger student accompaniment, parent partnership, safety awareness campaigns, and a culture of vigilance and shared responsibility, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every learner feels protected, respected, heard, valued, and loved.

As a Salesian community, we believe that prevention begins with presence. Together, students, parents, educators, personnel, and administrators, we build a school where safety is everybody's responsibility and where every young person can grow with confidence, peace, and hope.

In response to the recent shooting incident in a school in Tacloban City, the stabbing incidents reported in two schools in Cavite, and the statement released by the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Mary Help of Christians College (MHCC) immediately convened a meeting this morning to review and strengthen its commitment to student safety and well-being.

Our Directress, Principal, Guidance Counselor and Guidance Center personnel, Head of Security, Safety Officer, Discipline Coordinator, and Team Leaders gathered to discuss concrete measures and proactive initiatives that will further enhance the protection, welfare, and overall well-being of every Batang Mary Help.

Dear Parents, rest assured that MHCC remains steadfast in its mission of forming Good Christians and Honest Citizens while providing a secure, caring, and supportive environment for your children. Through collaboration, vigilance, accompaniment, and genuine concern for our young people, we continue to foster a culture where every student feels valued, respected, heard, and cared for.

As a Salesian school, we believe that prevention, presence, and meaningful relationships are essential in building a community of peace, trust, and belonging. We continuously review our policies, strengthen our safety protocols, and work closely with our educators, staff, students, and families to ensure that every Batang Mary Help can learn, grow, and develop with confidence and peace of mind. Together, we move forward with hope and determination, always placing the welfare and best interests of our students at the heart of every decision we make.

With grateful hearts, we would like to share that, through the generosity of the MHCC Educating Community, we have donated a total amount of ₱50,000 for our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao.

Celebrating Our Favorite Superheroes!

Our Batang Mary Help had a wonderful early celebration of Father's Day!

With their tiny hands and big hearts, our preschoolers created special cards filled with love and gratitude for their daddies. We also captured precious memories as our amazing fathers posed with their children at our simple D.I.Y. Father's Day photobooth.

Thank you to all our dads, grandfathers, and father figures for your love, guidance, sacrifices, and support. Your presence and encouragement help shape our children's dreams and inspire them to become their best selves.

To our little BMH, thank you for reminding us that the simplest gestures, a handmade card, a warm hug, and a heartfelt smile, can mean so much.
