Like every color in a rainbow, every person on the spectrum brings their own beauty, strength, and light to the world. Autism, as well as gender, is not something to be hidden or fixed—it is a natural part of life that deserves respect, understanding, and acceptance.

This Autistic Pride Day, we celebrate not despite our differences, but because of them. May every autistic individual be seen, accepted, and empowered to shine in their own color.

Independence is not merely the absence of foreign rule; it is the constant pursuit of justice, truth, and dignity for every Filipino. The freedom our heroes fought and died for was never meant to be taken for granted, nor surrendered to corruption, oppression, or silence.

To love the Philippines is not to worship those in power, but to stand with the people, defend our democracy, and hold fast to the ideals our national heroes envisioned. Freedom is not inherited once and for all, it is protected, questioned, and renewed by every generation.

As we celebrate Philippine Independence Day, may we remember that patriotism is not blind obedience, but the courage to dream of and work toward a nation worthy of the sacrifices that gave it life.

Pride Month is more than a celebration of colors, it is a a time where we give light to different stories. Stories of courage when it would have been easier to stay silent. Stories of resilience in the face of judgment. Stories of people who chose to embrace who they are, even when the world asked them to be someone else.

This month, we muse rise together and celebrate freedom — to live authentically, to love someone openly, and to unapologetically be ourselves. This month is a great reminder that every people in the world is beautiful by being themselves, and that our strengths lies beneath our vulrnerability.

The LGBTQIA+ Community should never be oppressed, thus, everyone has a right for the spotlight. Let’s make this world even better by making spaces safe to exist for our truest selves.

Having you around is the ultimate positive reinforcement. Your kindness is unmatched, your empathy levels are off the charts, and you have this ability to show up for everyone exactly when they need it. Despite having multiple responsibilities, you always do your best to juggle everything while still finding ways to lend a helping hand. Your optimism never wavers, even when things get challenging, and your selflessness shines through in the way you always look out for the people you cherish most.

The recently concluded seminar, “Guided Mind, Guided Soul: Understanding Mental Health Through Counseling,” held on June 1 via Zoom, served as a meaningful space for emotional learning and psychological growth. The event featured Mr. Matt Calvin S. Dadivas, RGC, RPm, who shared his professional expertise on emotion management, counseling principles, and the role of structured communication in building healthier interpersonal relationships.

In his talk, Mr. Dadivas emphasized the importance of emotional awareness as the first step toward regulation. He stressed out that individuals often struggle not because of emotions themselves, but because of the inability to identify and label what they feel.

A key highlight of his talk was the concept of an “empathy garden,” that illustrates how empathy can be cultivated intentionally through patience, understanding, and consistent emotional nurturing—both toward oneself and others.

Through this session, we must remember that emotional regulation is not to suppress, but to acknowledge feelings through awareness, empathy and intention.

𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁. 💼✨

From the classroom to the professional field, Psychology Society students explored the realities of life after graduation through the seminar "Beyond the Four Corners: Life After Campus," held on June 1, via Zoom Meeting and facilitated by the 3rd-year BS Psychology students.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮ñ𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮, 𝗥𝗣𝗺, 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗔, 𝗖𝗠𝗛𝗙𝗥, for sharing her journey and enlightening the BS Psychology students of LPU-Laguna about the expectations and realities of their chosen field.

This seminar highlights the opportunities for students and gains a deeper understanding of career preparation, workplace realities, and the challenges and opportunities that await beyond the university. As future helping professionals, may we continue to grow not only in knowledge and skills but also in empathy, self-awareness, and service to others. 🤍
