Catbalogan City Community College was represented by Dr. Nigel L. Cornejo, College President; Dr. Leo Carlo Rondina, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Ms. Mary Joy M. Capito, Director of Student Development Affairs and Services, during the Gawad Parangal 2026 hosted by CHED Regional Office VIII.

Their attendance reflects the institution's continued commitment to strengthening partnerships, supporting quality higher education initiatives, and engaging in regional academic and educational development activities.

During the visit, the evaluators also expressed commendation for the institution’s Library, Office of Student Development Affairs and Services (OSDAS), faculty qualifications, cleanliness, and infrastructure. The evaluators recognized the college for maintaining a clean, organized, and student-centered environment, supported by facilities that contribute to effective learning and quality service delivery.

Moreover, the faculty and staff were highly acknowledged for their qualifications, competence, and professionalism in their respective fields. The evaluators emphasized that these individuals are valuable assets of the institution, reflecting the college’s strong human resources and commitment to excellence in higher education.
