🌟365 Days with the Lord🌟
June 23, 2026
✅First Reading: 2Kgs 19:9b-11, 14-21, 31-35a, 36
✅Responsorial Psalm: Ps 48 ~ "God upholds his city forever."
✅Gospel: Mt 7:6, 12-14
When Jesus warns the disciples not to give what is holy to dogs or throw pearls before swine, he does not mean that the Gospel should not be announced to the Gentiles, then considered as "enemies/outsiders" and "unclean." Jesus himself showed good disposition to the Gentiles, and after his resurrection, he commanded the Apostles to go and preach the Gospel to the whole world—to Jews and Gentiles alike. His words here are meant as a warning against irresponsible proclamation of the Gospel to people who do not show any readiness to receive it. The Gospel is not to be proclaimed simple to proselytize people, to traffic the word as cheap grace. The proclamation of the Gospel should be done with zeal and right intention, and received with proper disposition.

🌟365 Days with the Lord🌟
June 22, 2026
✅First Reading: 2Kgs 17:5-8; 13-15a, 18
✅Responsorial Psalm: Ps 60 ~ "Help us with your right hand, O Lord, and answer us."
✅Gospel: Mt 7:1-5
I we want to possess the Kingdom of Heaven, we must avoid condemning others. Jesus encourages us to fix first our personal issues, before doing it to others; otherwise, the Lord will say, "Look who's talking."
To avoid passing judgment, or when correcting others, each one should examine himself or herself first to avoid embarrassment. If we have not come to terms with our personal issues, it is impossible to do it properly. If we heed Jesus' words like fixing ourselves first, before others, blessed are we!
